Of note, the Tennessee AG opinion on fantasy sports is not limited to DFS. All fantasy sports declared illegal gambling.

If long-term goal was to force Congress/Leagues' hands, NJ should have simply done a complete repeal of its state prohibitions /3

More DFS legal/twists and turns. DraftKings gets an immediate stay to hold NY injunction off while it appeals today's ruling.
Very real possibility of DFS legislation in NY in the not too distant future. xitter.cf/DeanMurrayNYAD3/status…
While I respect the judge's decision, I do disagree with it & will move forward with legislation legalizing & regulating #DFS in NY
As Attorney Wallach states, DFS injunction take effect immediately. I have seen some confusion on this issue. xitter.cf/WALLACHLEGAL/status/67…

Want to emphasize that this only the first stage of this legal battle, and NY officials have said they plan to legalize daily fantasy.
(2/2): RLT: "The amounts of the entrance fee is [sic] calculated in part on salary up to $50K and on the athletes [sic] perceived value."
(1/2) Court also made a strange claim on p.5 where it seems to imply a higher salary cap for players if they pay a higher entrance fee.
Court stated (p.5): "... once the DFS team is selected, the players are 'locked in', and the selections may no longer be changed." Not true
Seems like #DFS still has a lot of work to do to teach the judiciary the mechanics of the game. Mendez got a few gameplay details wrong.
Great job by @WALLACHLEGAL writing on @LSPReport and breaking down the key issues of the NY DFS injunction hearing. legalsportsreport.com/6653/n…
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Celebrating this holiday might be what I miss the most about living in the United States.
Good take in the Washington Post on #DFS. I agree that Mass is leading the way toward responsible regulation.

Kudos to Mass AG Healey for instituting appropriate consumer protection measures for #DFS while not outlawing it. xitter.cf/MassAGO/status/6673617…

Violation of the separation of powers! Tortious interference! @DraftKings TRO brief v NY A-G is really aggressive: bit.ly/20Rylkk
Phenomenal job by @SportsLawProf researching the Congressional origins of the fantasy carve-out in the UIGEA espn.go.com/chalk/story/_/id…
