New paper by Leonardo Bich (@Leo_Bich) with William Bechtel in the Journal of Physiology 🧠
Latest in their heterarchy series: where is control ultimately integrated? At the last step, they argue: in the production mechanisms themselves, not the CNS.

How is human impact reshaping the way organisms reproduce and evolve? Our senior researcher Arantza Etxeberria (UPV/EHU) argues that reproduction is a web of developmental, physiological & ecological relations.
Happening now at our #IASSeminar: Daniel S. Brooks (University of Wuppertal) on ‘Scale Ranges, the Variety of Matter’s Forms, and Levels of Organization as Local Maxima.’
