During the fall and winter months of their year in the Boston College AMDG program, each cohort traveled to one of four Jesuit retreat houses in the United States for a weekend-long preached silent retreat based on the Spiritual Exercises. On the retreat, a Jesuit retreat director, trained at Boston College, delivered nine talks that not only guided retreatants through Saint Ignatius of Loyola’s Spiritual Exercises, but also challenged them to make connections between these 500-year old meditations and their lives as students, family members, friends, professionals, and Christians.

With the support of the Endowment's National Youth and Young Adult Initiative on Faith and Service, IAJS will launch a two-year pilot program, AMDG, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, a program intended to energize the personal and communal religious practices of youth and young adults between the ages of 16 and 29.
Midwest Jesuit Casey Beaumier, SJ, @IAJSBC director, said, “The AMDG program will draw from the depths of the Jesuit tradition and its vast national and global apostolic networks so that the beauty of the Catholic faith can be instilled in young people in a lasting way.” buff.ly/3CfmRnx
