ยป

Like the rest of you, I got demonetized today.
Who gives a shit? Fuck Elon Musk. Iโm not here for the money, Iโm here for Ukraine. Russian disinformation is here on Twitter, so Twitter is where we must be to fight it.
NO RETREAT.
ONWARD UNTIL VICTORY.

Four years ago today, Ukraine liberated Izium.
What was uncovered shocked the world: 447 graves, including 414 civilians and 5 children. Most died violently.
This is what russian occupation leaves behind.
Mass graves.
Never forget. Never forgive.

People tend to refer to it as "the Ukraine war," because if you say "the russian war," you would have to clarify which one you mean.

Ukraine has destroyed the myth of russian military might. Now the West needs to destroy its own fear of winning.

I am not an OG Fella, but I have been around long enough to have the standing to say this.
People need to get over the sacking of Fedorov and get back to work.
The sacking of Fedorov was a terrible mistake and one of the possible reasons - his desire to eliminate corruption in procurement - does not speak well of the government in Kyiv or Ukraine's military leadership.
Sacking Fedorov will likely make things harder, take longer, and cost more money and lives than if he hadn't been sacked. It will also sow doubt in the minds of foreign governments helping Ukraine and lower morale in the military and maybe society as a whole.
But #NAFO cannot do anything about any this. It is beyond even our considerable reach. What we can do is continue our work.
I can understand why people might be more reluctant to donate to UA24, given its connection to the government. I am.
But I cannot understand why people might be more reluctant to give to the many units we are helping, or to the 69th Sniffing Brigade, or to the many volunteers - many of them Fellas - in the field or at least close to it, or even to bonk and retweet, which cost you nothing and are not exposed to the corruption of others.
The army - and by that I mean the fighting men and women, not the generals - still need our help and so do all the people supporting them. They are not the government in Kyiv, nor are they in the military command.
The people of Ukraine are still under siege, and many of them are held as captive people. They still need our help.
We don't work for Kyiv, or for the UAF. We are not accountable to them and we are not subject to their authority. If Zelensky or Syrski ordered #NAFO to disband, or to direct all our donations through UAF high command, or to donate only to the things Kyiv might want, would we? Of course not.
We are are free people here because we know it is right. The righteousness of this cause has not been diminished by what happened to Fedorov. Ukraine is not whole, Mariupol, Bucha and dozens of other massacres have not be avenged, and many of the the Russia sons-of-bitches who have raped and pillaged Ukraine are still drawing breath, committing war crimes as I write this.
NAFO works for the cause and we are subject and accountable only to one another and in the end to our consciences. The fuckery of others changes nothing, nor does it excuse us from our duty and it certainly does not reduce our ability to make a difference in our chosen lanes.
The easiest thing to do when everything is going to hell is to quit. Success, however, depends on our ability to fight that instinct and do our jobs in the tough moments. So let's dig in and fight through this fuckery because the consequences of doing nothing are unbearable.
