Welles Crowther was a former Boston College lacrosse player and a New York City firefighter who carried a red bandanna. On September 11, 2001, Welles ran into the World Trade Center to rescue those in need. 25 years later, his life and legacy endure with one of the most powerful traditions in sports, BC's Red Bandanna Game ❤️

This young man @HynesView Bleeds Blue. This talk is from 2022, this group embraced the challenge every single day and it paid off. Work to be done!
Looking back on my time here at UConn and how much our program has grown in the last 4 years. The success we had this season is so special to me and the rest of the people who have seen the ups and downs but never stopped believing.

When I think of Dan Hurley, I think of a back to back national champion who turned around a struggling program. A man who was offered the lakers and Kentucky job and turned it down to stay loyal to the kids on his team. I think of a man of faith and a person who is very charitable. It’s easy to kick a man when he stumbles from the mountain top a bit. Bruce Pearl didn’t get nearly the attention when he went after the refs aggressively. we need to remember what @dhurley15 has accomplished. He’s our guy.

I don’t mind you quoting me, but it would be nice if you at least provided proper context. The point I made, quite clearly, is that it's unfortunate when amazing talents are no longer primarily known for their amazing talents. Like I said on the pod, say Bob Knight -- and people don’t think of an incredible basketball coach first anymore. They think of a person full of anger and vitriol. Say Kanye West -- and people don’t think of an incredible musical talent first anymore. They think of an unbalanced person always saying and doing wild stuff. Right now, when you say Dan Hurley, the first thing people think of should be that he’s an amazing basketball coach taking a shot at history. But do a Twitter search on his name; that’s not what pops up. And that’s the point I was making, that he’s reached the point where his behavior -- right or wrong, warranted or not, effective or ineffective -- is pulling attention away from his brilliance and accomplishments similar to the way we've seen it happen to others. Perhaps Dan doesn't care. If so, that's fine. But that is what's happening right now. And that's the only point I was making. You don't have to turn it into something it wasn't.
