My friend @philipwwebb has edited “Psalms of Grace” @MastersSeminary Press. It is a Psalter companion to “Hymns of Grace.” It includes multiple versions of all 150 psalms, with introductions & the Scottish Collects of 1595 (what a great idea!). Just got my copy. Ready to dig in!

Vanity of vanities
what has been is what will be
rivers flow into the sea
what is crooked can’t be straight
what is lacking can’t be named
all is chasing after wind
all this toil in the end
is a worn out mystery
vanity of vanities

"All worship starts in the soul. There's no organ playing. No strumming. No smoke, no moody darkness. The cry of the soul of the believer crying out, saying 'bless the Lord, O my soul!.' The song is in the heart before it ever shows up in the room" @johnmacarthur #Sing18

We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
