Who am I? September 26 edition
I'm Hûw, I write SF&F, and I appear to have written quite a lot of it somehow. A fantasy trilogy that's "Indiana Jones meets Locke Lamora", an ancient Greek SF epic, a *very* cosy fantasy and a kid's book now on audio!
And short stories too. Lots.

Pre-orders for Cowboys & Dragons will start tomorrow! (maybe even today, if Amazon so rules)
Apparently I got my Writer's badge back in the days of the Scouts, and I have 0 memory of it.

Today I started to write my first book. I hope that I can finish it. I admire all of you writers that you keep it up with your work. I am also very nervous. – at Schönefeld, Deutschland
Look, this is your last day to get a whole trilogy for 3 quid.
It is, according to reviewers, "quite good".
It has giant metal snakes and plot-integral references to Paul Weller and the Jam.
Go on. Give it a go.

My website is live...
And the application form for BOOKED Season 3 guest slots is open. No biggie xoxo
Be real nice if my posts about my books got as much traction as the posts about niche moments in DC comics

Six generations. Three books. One Stone.
And because we all love things in threes:
1. The stone represents the heart of the land.
2. There's a pool which contains powerful waters & represents its blood, and...
3. An entrusted Guardian represents the spirit.
Check it out.👇

As a person invested in the indie publishing scene, one of the most frustrating things is how little it matters a book's quality in light of a lucky break and riding a trend that popped at the exact moment...
Lots of quality books buried under a swathe of always the same stuff...

BBC cancelling Drag Race, cancelling I kissed a boy/girl, censoring trans supportive messages and then making a whole docuseries about the person who has made life for trans people hell in the UK is certainly very telling @bbcpress @BBC
#HarryPotter author J.K. Rowling is the subject of an upcoming BBC docuseries.
It will trace her “dramatic rise, cultural influence and contested legacy, using her life as a lens through which to explore three decades of profound social, political and technological change.” variety.com/2026/tv/global/j…
