In the last working week of the year we awoke to our very own Mike Rivington featured on Breakfast Telly talking about how Scotland's climate is changing faster than expected

and in December we were in Mumbai at the UK-India workshop on antimicrobial resistance in the environment
In the final months of the year, @HuttonICS were getting everywhere!
We were part of the team that won a Nature of Scotland Conservation Award for our peatland research🥳
ICS were also all over the media with our work on life cycle analysis of vertical farming, our climate change and land use analyses, and our recent foray into exascale computing 😎😎
In July our @linda_toca attended the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium which she aced by winning the Geopitch Challenge 🥳
In June we won a further £850K to develop our High Performance Computing facilities in addition to the £2M we got earlier in the year 🤑🤑🙏
In May, a number of @HuttonICS colleagues were in Wageningen for a meeting of the EU SENSE project that we lead 😎
In March was our @JamesHuttonInst annual PhD event, which was amazing as always and @HuttonICS students gave impressive (prize winning) presentations & posters 😁
Also in January, Becky Smith completed Operation Bletchley by walking 40 miles & solving code breaking puzzles along the way 😎
We've had a busy 2023 with ups & downs and a fair amount of fun along the way 😁
Here's our @HuttonICS year in review... (thread 1/16)
