Journalism has really gone in the shitter when the AP treats thinking, feeling, wanting, and understanding are uniquely human and animals are incapable of any of those.
And hell, I’d debate that AI can do 3 of the 4 verbs AP listed.
Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.

Soccer ⚽: Kick it unless you're wearing a funny shirt.
Aussie rules 🦘: Kick it or punch it.
Rugby 🏉: Run it or throw it backward.
American football 🏈: Throw it forward once at most from the designated area. 😭
Made lǔròu fàn-inspired bowls for work this week. I used ground turkey breast, which works great for meal prep, but if you want the more traditional version, braised pork belly is the way to go.
