Enormous thanks to #BobKendrick, Pres of the #NegroLeaguesBaseballMuseum for signing my baseball, a special one designed and handcrafted by William at @HuntingtonBBC. @NLBMuseumKC @nlbmprez ⚾️ ✍️ 🙏

I have 4 tickets to the East West Classic at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown on May 25.
@huntingtonbbc and his kid account for two of them. I get one. That leaves one more.
Should we do some sort of contest for the fourth and let someone watch the game with us?
Open to ideas...

We had a My Baseball History reunion of sorts at the opening of Paul's fantastic show "Jackie Robinson And The Color Line" at Gitterman Gallery in NY today.
His photo of Javan was the first thing you saw when you walked in the door. A powerful statement.

A close look at Javan Emery’s 1885 photo, shows his broken hands, ravaged like those of many catchers of the time who didn’t have proper gloves.
“That’s actually one of the reasons why Blacks were first able to make greater strides in baseball, because they were willing to play catcher. It just took so much courage”

Baseball is giving me the blues……
But, these custom indigo baseballs I made for @savekhakiunited are definitely making me feel better.
Three years ago this day. The last time everyone in baseball agreed on something. Doesn’t look like I’ll be dusting off the UNANIMOUS stamp anytime soon, but I’m still excited to see the final results of this year’s BBWAA vote.

Who knows what the nickname was for the old American Association of 1882-1891? I’ll give you a hint, there’s a clue in the background. Happy Friday!
Down to the last few sets of @cwpencilenterprise baseball scoring pencils. This is sadly the end of the road for these as CWPE closed up shop in the fall. Available in singles, boxes of 6, or as an add-on to our hardcover score book sets and score card refills.
Not gonna lie. Some time off was in order. Back to it. Let’s make some baseballs!
