On this #4thofJuly weekend, as we celebrate the #250thanniversary of America’s fight against oppression and tyranny, I’m reminded of two of my 5th great-grandfathers, Laban Tower and John Tye. Their service in the Revolutionary War is the reason I’m honored to be a member of the @SarHeadquarters. Laban Tower served in the Hingham, Massachusetts militia alongside his brother from 1775 to 1777. He answered the call to arms following Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775, serving in Jotham Loring’s company. He later served with men from Hingham, Braintree, and neighboring towns in Theophilus Wilder’s company before serving under his brother Joshua’s command in the Rhode Island campaign in 1777. John Tye served under Lt. Col. John Cropper in the 7th Virginia Regiment and later in Col. Thomas Posey’s regiment. He fought at the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Battles of Saratoga, and was with George Washington at the surrender of Charles Cornwallis at Siege of Yorktown. I’m grateful for my family’s legacy and for every person who answered the call to secure the freedoms we enjoy today. I love this country — its triumphs, its imperfections, and the ideals it continues to strive toward. I believe the United States is the greatest nation in history, but preserving our republic requires each generation to defend the principles of liberty, justice, and self-government. As Benjamin Franklin famously said at the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, when asked what form of government had been created, he replied: “A republic, if you can keep it.” #HappyIndependenceDay, and #GodBlessAmerica 🇺🇸

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Freedom Foundation has now helped 300,000 public employees escape government unions, a historic milestone that has already cost union bosses $870 MILLION! That’s $870 million back in the pockets of teachers, nurses, and public servants instead of funding a political agenda they never signed up for.

Just saw this email this morning. Honored to be selected as a 2026 Pennsylvania Impact Award honoree by @CityAndStatePA I’m grateful to be recognized alongside so many people doing meaningful work across Pennsylvania and beyond. Any recognition like this is really a reflection of the people you get to work alongside. I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible teams, partners, donors, friends, and community leaders over the years who are committed to making a real impact. Thank you to @CityAndStatePA for the recognition. Looking forward to celebrating with the other honorees in December! #Pennsylvania #ImpactAwards #CityAndStatePA #Leadership #Community

NJ is such a mess. Sherrill needs to resign next.
BREAKING: New Jersey Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell has resigned after an independent investigation into his misconduct and sexual harassment. Gov. Mikie Sherrill says the investigation found "serious, repeated violations of state policy," including ethical lapses and a substantiated finding of sexual harassment. "I gave the lieutenant governor until today to resign. He submitted his resignation to me this afternoon, which I accepted."

Maybe stop playing international regular season games outside the US then. It’s a league in America. They should be playing in Dallas or Baltimore this week. Do exhibition or preseason games elsewhere just like the Premier League does and other sports do. Regular season games in Australia, Brazil, etc is so dumb
There have been a lot of questions about the field surface in Brazil, and I wanted to provide the NFLPA’s perspective.   Our number one priority is the health and safety of our players. The concern heading into this week was that the field would be loose, patchy, and lead to excessive slipping. Those conditions are generally more of a playability and performance issue than a significant injury concern.   But safety isn't the only standard. Players should be able to perform at the level they expect of themselves and that fans expect from them. A thin, slick field may not present the same risks as a surface with too much traction, but it still affects performance and the quality of the game.   We've been in regular communication with the league about the field. Both the NFLPA's and the league's field experts have been on the ground in Brazil for days, monitoring conditions and working to make the surface as safe and playable as possible for Sunday.   Based on our experts' assessment, the field needed better traction and stability. They recommended reinforced stitching to help the surface hold together and brought in equipment to reinforce as much of the field as possible before the game. Our experts will remain engaged and continue evaluating conditions through kickoff.   The work happening this week also highlights two larger issues.   First, we need field standards that account for both safety and performance. The NFL, NFLPA, and our field and engineering experts spend a lot of time working on these issues, and we've made progress. But we're not where we need to be yet. We can't have surfaces that melt players' cleats, like we saw in Nashville last week. We can't have frozen fields that create unnecessary risks. The best athletes in the world should be playing on surfaces that meet the same standard of excellence we expect from them every week.   Second, this reinforces one of our concerns about international expansion. Two of the three games played in Brazil have had field-related issues. That's not a coincidence. This time of year makes it extremely challenging to maintain the kind of grass surface we expect at the NFL level.   Our guys are exceptional at what they do, and I'm confident they'll put on a terrific game in Rio this week. They always do. But we owe it to them to provide the best possible opportunity to succeed. Players can overcome a lot. But they shouldn't have to overcome the field. The NFL has been clear they want to continue to grow the game internationally. However, growth alone cannot be the goal. The goal has to be growing the game while maintaining the standards our players deserve. If we can't do both, then we need to make different decisions.

MARYLAND is 49 of 50: This chart (Edward Jones CFP) shows the TAKE-HOME pay of a taxpayer earning $250,000/year (single filer, standard deduction, no local taxes). At $162,992 MD is 49th. At $183,182 FL, TX, TN, NV are tied for 1st. Which states are people moving to?

In 2018, with the “progressive” prosecutor movement sweeping America, career criminal defense attorney Larry Krasner took over the Philly District Attorney's Office. He immediately prioritized exonerating convicted killers over prosecutions – with nearly 60 convicted murderers let out of jail to date. Today, we’re sharing just one of the stories behind these exonerations: that of 79-year-old Essie Mae Thomas, who was murdered in her North Philadelphia home in 1997. Her three killers have walked. So… who did it? Who really killed Essie Mae Thomas? @BroadAndLiberty

First half marathon in the books! 🏃‍♂️ Really happy I got to do it with my brother. It’s the first race he’s ever beaten me in, and I could probably come up with every excuse in the book between the plantar fasciitis flare-up, blisters, and everything else. 😂 But at the end of the day, we finished together, and that’s what matters. My niece, nephew, and sister-in-law also crushed the 5K. They met me at the finish line and gave me my medal, which made the whole thing even more special. Definitely wasn’t easy, but we kept going and finished. Don’t ever give up. Keep pushing, even when it hurts. 💪

Government should protect rights, not manage lives. True progress comes from liberty, limited government, and individual responsibility—fostering open conversation over coercion. Freedom guided by principle, not partisanship. #Liberty #LimitedGovernment

When we stop talking, we lose the ability to solve anything. Building bridges between diverse groups is key. People give to people, whether in politics or philanthropy. Freedom works when individuals are empowered. #CivilDiscourse #CommunityBuilding #Empowerment

Government unions allegedly funneled millions in taxpayer money and PPP loans, with little going to members or students. Investigations are underway into how these funds were misused for political gain and leadership benefits. #UnionCorruption #Investigate

Union dues from public employee paychecks aren't theirs—they're tax dollars. This money funds salaries and the unions that use it to grow government, win political battles, and perpetuate a cycle of power used against us. #TaxDollars #UnionDues #Government
