THE WORLD’S FINANCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE IS MOVING ONCHAIN… AND $ZAMA JUST SECURED A SEAT AT THE TABLE.
the next generation of global finance is being built… and Zama is helping shape the rules before the world even realizes the game is changing.
——
I don’t think people fully appreciate what we’re watching unfold right now.
some of the biggest names in global finance are coming together to help establish the standards for the #NEXT generation of financial transactions.
and .@zama is now part of that conversation.
we’re talking about an initiative involving…
DTCC.
Robinhood.
Fireblocks.
SoFi.
Ledger.
MetaMask.
Securitize.
GSR.
think about the significance of this for a moment.
these aren’t companies experimenting with another memecoin.
they’re involved in the #infrastructure that moves, protects, manages, and settles financial assets.
and they’re working toward something much bigger.
the Open Transaction Layer (OTL) is developing standards that allow financial institutions, wallets, payment providers, and even AI agents to communicate and coordinate transactions across networks.
now think about what’s missing from much of today’s public blockchain infrastructure.
#Confidentiality
banks #cannot expose every customer balance.
institutions #cannot broadcast every financial position.
businesses #cannot put sensitive payroll information on a public ledger for everyone to examine.
yet the financial world increasingly wants the efficiency, programmability, and accessibility of blockchain technology.
that’s a massive problem that needs solving.
and it’s exactly why I’ve been paying so much attention to $ZAMA
fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) allows computations to happen on encrypted information without exposing what’s inside.
Zama is bringing that capability to public blockchains.
confidential balances.
encrypted transfers.
programmable financial applications.
compliance without making everything public.
and this is where the bigger picture starts coming together…
Zama isn’t just researching encryption anymore.
we’re watching an ecosystem develop around confidential tokens, DeFi vaults, institutional tokenization, and financial infrastructure.
Zama joined an initiative helping shape how #institutions communicate and transact onchain.
Zama has an opportunity to contribute to conversations that will #influence how tomorrow’s financial systems operate.
and there’s another part of this story investors shouldn’t overlook.
$ZAMA isn’t simply a token attached to the technology.
it’s designed to power the protocol’s economics.
protocol usage generates fees, with the fee model designed to use 100% of those fees to buy and burn $ZAMA.
if confidential finance becomes a major part of the onchain economy, the question becomes much bigger than whether people are interested in privacy.
how much demand could there eventually be for confidential computation?
how many transactions could require it?
and what happens to the protocol’s economics if that demand grows substantially?
none of this guarantees token appreciation, Adoption, or fee generation
but consider where we are today.
the standards are still being developed.
the infrastructure is still being built.
and #institutions are still figuring out how to bring traditional finance onchain.
what happens if confidentiality becomes a #requirement for global onchain finance rather than an optional feature?
because if that happens, the opportunity Zama is pursuing could be #substantially larger than what most people are imagining today.
and that’s exactly why I continue paying attention to $ZAMA.
sometimes the biggest opportunities aren’t about what the market sees today.
they’re about recognizing what the world will need tomorrow.

Something quiet is happening in Zama's code, and it's bigger than it looks.
Zama is bringing confidential smart contracts to Solana. That's not just another chain. It's a different machine, built for speed and near-zero fees, and home to traders and payment apps Ethereum never fully reached. That means a new crowd and new uses for encryption.
The first pipes went in between Oct 9 and Oct 16. Unlocking results on Solana is free for now, on purpose, to win users first. The decryption nodes only open for approved senders, a ready-made spot for a toll later. And every encrypted input already pays in ethereum:0xa12cc123ba206d4031d1c7f6223d1c2ec249f4f3 , which gets burned, just like on Ethereum.
More chains. One token. One burn.
It's still on a development branch, not live. But every pipe runs to solana:4Zp52aF4hZi9fzH19xpbWKYKQvgLyCN67KFbrQDqeTKh .
Free on purpose: github.com/zama-ai/fhevm/pul…
The door: github.com/zama-ai/fhevm/pul…
Something quiet just happened at BNY.
The SEC filing for its tokenized Dreyfus money market fund says the entries on Ethereum and Solana are the official share register. If the off-chain copy disagrees, the chain wins.
BNY can still freeze, cancel and fix balances. Control: solved.
Privacy: not even started. Every holder, every position, public to anyone.
So here's the question every fund's lawyers will soon be asking: why can our competitors see our book?
Moving it back off-chain is a retreat. The real answer is a book that stays on public rails, with amounts hidden, while the transfer agent can still freeze, fix and audit.
That takes computing on encrypted data.
That's what ethereum:0xa12cc123ba206d4031d1c7f6223d1c2ec249f4f3 does.
The book is on-chain. Privacy is the next click.

$zama is working on something that could finally make telegram trading less of a security nightmare.
hong kong police said a local otc firm lost over hk$4 million after scammers hijacked an employee’s whatsapp, blocked the real clients, cloned the work group, and started impersonating people to push transfers.
150+ similar cases in two weeks. losses over hk$15 million.
this is exactly why moving big trades into telegram or whatsapp chats is risky. one compromised account and the whole thing can get redirected.
Rand mentioned they’re building a product that keeps the convenience of telegram style trading but removes the insecure part.
once balances, amounts, and intent can stay encrypted onchain, you don’t have to move the actual risk into a chat app that can get cloned.
been watching this problem for a while and the tools are starting to catch up.

$zama is engineering for the quantum era… but what happens after blockchains become quantum resistant?
the next generation of finance needs more than security against tomorrow’s computers. it needs privacy for the people using it #TODAY …
the G7 is now warning about the threat quantum computers could pose to today’s cryptography.
but here’s something i think investors should pay attention to…
BACK IN APRIL 2024, ZAMA’S NIGEL SMART WAS ALREADY WARNING ABOUT THIS.
and this isn’t someone who just started talking about quantum computing because it’s trending.
.@SmartCryptology is a renowned cryptographer, professor at KU Leuven and Zama’s Chief Academic Officer.
in an interview with The Quantum Insider, he warned that companies needed to start preparing their transition to post-quantum cryptography.
his message was pretty clear…
“companies should actually be anticipating that in the next five to ten years they will need to replace their existing solutions with ones which are post-quantum secure.”
that was in 2024.
now we’re watching governments raise the same concerns.
but here’s where i think $ZAMA ’s opportunity gets even more interesting…
WHAT HAPPENS #AFTER WE MAKE BLOCKCHAINS QUANTUM RESISTANT?
because protecting your assets from future quantum attacks doesn’t automatically protect your financial privacy.
your balances, investments and transactions could still be visible to the world.
.@Zama is tackling another part of that problem using fully homomorphic encryption #FHE built on lattice-based cryptography with post-quantum security foundations.
technology that allows applications to compute on encrypted financial information.
and we’re already seeing it used #TODAY
- $125 MILLION in shielded value
- $100 MILLION+ earning yield through confidential Morpho vaults
- $1.16 BILLION in cumulative activity
i’m not saying Zama alone makes an entire blockchain quantum secure.
but think about what they’re working toward…
financial systems that can protect information from future threats #AND keep sensitive financial activity confidential.
that’s why i keep looking beyond the next market cycle.
and why i spend so much time researching the people engineering $ZAMA.

Researchers just showed how Zama's decryption network could grow from 13 operators to hundreds, and they built it on Zama's own tech.
"Tulva: Practical Asynchronous Threshold FHE" (Aalto, Bocconi, IMDEA, accepted to IEEE S&P 2027) runs on Zama's tfhe-rs, uses fhEVM as its example, and splits decryption across up to 512 operators, each doing its part in ~3.7 ms.
Not live yet, but the path from 13 to hundreds is starting to look real.

$ZAMA JUST CROSSED $100 MILLION IN CONFIDENTIAL YIELD ON MORPHO… @aixbt_agent ARE YOU WATCHING THIS?
while everyone is watching DEX volume and TVL, another metric is becoming increasingly interesting… Total Value Shielded (TVS).
@Morpho just confirmed that over $100M is now earning yield through Zama’s confidential vaults.
look at the progression…
— $10M+ deposited within the first 4 days
— $40M+ within 7 weeks
— $100M+ now earning confidential yield
— 16 confidential vaults
— 5 institutional curators
— 5 supported assets
and we’re talking about curators like Bitwise, Wintermute’s Armitage, Flowdesk, RockawayX and Steakhouse Financial.
this isn’t just capital sitting in encrypted wallets.
it’s capital being put to work, earning yield while individual positions and earnings remain confidential.
that’s what makes $ZAMA so interesting to me.
institutions can access established DeFi strategies without publicly exposing every position they hold.
you’re tracking Starknet’s $175M in weekly DEX volume.
but what happens when more of the capital moving through Ethereum becomes confidential?
i’m wondering how important does TVS become when the next wave of institutional capital doesn’t want the world watching every move…

🚨ARTHUR HAYES BUYS AERO, PENDLE AND ZAMA!
@CryptoHayes purchased roughly 547,000 base:0x940181a94a35a4569e4529a3cdfb74e38fd98631 for about $460,000, 120,000 ethereum:0x808507121b80c02388fad14726482e061b8da827 for $232,000, and 3 million ethereum:0xa12cc123ba206d4031d1c7f6223d1c2ec249f4f3 for $197,000 roughly an hour ago, per @lookonchain.
The buys total nearly $890,000 across the three tokens.
$ZAMA is not an FDV times a number story.
The price clears as the fees the protocol collects divided by the tokens that actually have to sell. Most of the float is staked today. What remains is a thin offer. The fees come from three places: the confidential RFQ, the fund and transfer-agent layer, and the software that sits inside the books and posts inventory.
The token is built for that thin offer. The fee is paid in $ZAMA and burned. The people who hold the large positions are the same people who receive the unlocks. If the vision works, they are holding the meter for a protocol they expect to run for years, not inventory they need to sell. One of the early backers has already said, on the record in the Q2 Shielded report, that they see it as a 5-to-20-year infrastructure bet. That matches the design.
H2 2029 is early for the full on-chain migration of regulated books. It is not early for the first real test. If the first confidential funds ship and the next ones copy the hidden-amount step, a sleeve of low hundreds of billions to about $1T can exist by then. That is a few early funds copied by administrators starting in 2027 and continuing through 2028, not a mature market. A book that sits still generates almost no fees. Fees come when positions are bought, sold, or rebalanced, when secondary trading happens on a confidential venue, and when builders ship apps or agents that post inventory or move value through the same rail.
If that sleeve starts trading and the software inside those books starts posting inventory on the rail, the middle of the map on a 2H 2029 clock is a four-digit token. The high end of that map is higher. It requires the books to keep the hidden-amount step, the agents that run them to stay on-chain and raise the frequency on the same stock, and the float to stay largely locked.
That is the map. The numbers are large relative to today. They are not large relative to what an early copy-paste wave can produce if the first fund works and the next ones copy it.
PDF with the full numbers is in the replies if you want it.

We might run out of money before we run out of compute.
Each layer of compute being built is either held by the oldest financial institutions or crypto-native startups that didn’t even exist a few years ago. We mapped 88 of them across five layers to see where crypto infrastructure is genuinely useful versus where traditional players have an advantage.
Every commodity market eventually concentrates value in the companies that control the financial instruments, not the ones producing the commodity.
More than $120 billion of AI infrastructure debt has been repackaged into retirement products, where the people whose savings are exposed have absolutely no idea.
The compute will arrive, but in the meantime, a lot of money sits in financing structures that assume the shortage is permanent, but it isn't.
Which means we might run out of money before we run out of compute.

$ZAMA HAS A WORLD-RENOWNED CRYPTOGRAPHER BUILDING FOR THE #QUANTUM ERA… AND HIS RESEARCH GOES BACK YEARS BEFORE THE HYPE.
what happens #after blockchains become quantum resistant?

watch who’s actually been working on what comes #NEXT

Chief Academic Officer at @zama
— internationally recognized cryptographer
— Professor of Cryptology at KU Leuven
— co-founder of Unbound Tech, acquired by Coinbase in 2021
— extensive research in FHE, multiparty computation (MPC) and public-key cryptography
— contributor to a 2021 European Union report on post-quantum cryptography
— recipient of the 2026 RSA Conference Award for Excellence in Mathematics
and now he’s helping shape the research behind $ZAMA.
but here’s what I want investors and builders to pay attention to…
OCTOBER 5, 2022.
four years ago.
Nigel published an article through Zama titled:
“Fully Homomorphic Encryption and Post-Quantum Cryptography”
years before today’s quantum-security headlines started dominating crypto conversations.
and the details matter
Zama’s FHE relies on lattice-based cryptography, believed to resist attacks from both classical and quantum computers.
Zama was also sponsoring the Lattice Estimator, software used to evaluate the security of lattice-based cryptographic systems.
their researchers weren’t just discussing post-quantum security.
they were contributing to the tools used to study it.
NOW LOOK AT WHERE THE MARKET IS HEADING…
billions in digital assets
tokenized treasuries
institutional stablecoins
real-world assets
DeFi protocols holding increasingly valuable financial information.
and an industry asking whether today’s cryptography will survive the quantum era.
but I think investors are overlooking an even bigger question…
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER BLOCKCHAINS BECOME QUANTUM RESISTANT?
because protecting digital assets against future quantum attacks is only part of the problem.
what about protecting sensitive information from everyone who can see it TODAY?
your wallet balances.
your trading strategies.
your lending positions.
your institutional exposures.
this is where $ZAMA starts separating itself from the broader quantum-security narrative.
FHE ALLOWS COMPUTATION TO HAPPEN WHILE INFORMATION REMAINS ENCRYPTED.
and Zama is bringing that capability to existing blockchain infrastructure.
not asking Ethereum to disappear.
not forcing developers to abandon the ecosystems they’ve spent years building.
but creating a modular confidentiality layer applications can integrate.
and this isn’t just research anymore…
visit app.zama.org
explore confidential assets TODAY.
shield $ZAMA into cZAMA and experience encrypted onchain assets yourself.
quantum-resistant #FHE doesn’t automatically make every blockchain signature or protocol component quantum-proof.
but having researchers like Nigel Smart involved matters.
THIS ISN’T JUST A TOKEN ATTACHED TO A QUANTUM NARRATIVE.
its a company founded in 2020 around advanced cryptography, with researchers who’ve spent years working on secure computation.
and I think the opportunity is much larger than people realize.
the future of blockchain won’t only be measured by how much value it can move.
but how securely that value moves…
how much information institutions can keep confidential…
and what developers can build when sensitive data no longer has to be publicly exposed.
quantum security is bringing attention back to cryptography.
and that attention could introduce an entirely new audience of investors, institutions and developers to Zama.
the chart tells you what $ZAMA is worth today.
the research tells you how long the foundations have been developing.
and the applications being built around #FHE could tell us just how much bigger this market can become.

Inside Zama 07 is up!
This one is especially worth reading if you’re building on @zama FHEVM.
A lot of people know the headline: smart contracts can compute on encrypted data.
But as a builder, you need to understand what actually happens underneath that line of Solidity.
This article breaks down encrypted Solidity types, ciphertext handles, FHE.add, encrypted booleans, FHE.select, symbolic execution, coprocessors, permissions, and why normal things like if statements or reverts can accidentally leak confidential information.
Once you understand this layer, writing FHEVM contracts starts to make a lot more sense.
If you’re building with Zama, I’d definitely recommend reading this one.
