The FDA announced today that 444,252 youth didn't vape because of its "Real Cost" campaign.
Not mentioned by the FDA:
Applying the same analytics to the adult population, @BradRodu calculated that the campaign also prevented 654,477 smoking adults from switching to vaping.

So, some youth may have been saved from nicotine addiction (not life threatening) but several hundred thousand adult smokers may have DIED because of the aptly named "Real Cost" campaign.
The FDA campaign's misinformation has caused the vast majority of the public to believe that vaping is dangerous. This has resulted in the FDA now spending millions on studies to try to figure out how to correct the publics' misperceptions about vaping.
The "Real Cost" campaign was a massive failure, not a success to be proud of @FDATobacco .

Spot on. Prohibitionists demand ABSOLUTE SAFETY ONLY to #vapes & THR products. Must counter this trap. When questioned simply say “vapes are safe” without specifying “safer than smoking”. When asked if a beer is safe you do not specify “it is safer than drinking industrial alcohol or rat poison. Safety is understood, demand safety of THR products to be judged as other adult use products.

When public health agencies fail to clearly distinguish between smoking and vaping, the result is confusion—not education.
Many Americans now wrongly believe vaping is just as harmful as smoking, despite evidence showing substantial differences in toxicant exposure and risk.
Facts matter:
✅ Smoking kills hundreds of thousands of Americans.
✅ Vaping is not risk-free.
✅ Multiple public health agencies acknowledge vaping is significantly less harmful than smoking.
✅ Adult smokers deserve accurate information about lower-risk alternatives.

A direct appeal to #Vapefam everywhere, a respected prolific THR advocate who has extensively written about many aspects, but especially with an Australian focus has received a twitter 'X' suspension. No apparent reasoning for this.

It is deeply disappointing that @X and @Support still have not reviewed and reinstated @Algore09Algor.
Silence in the face of a genuine appeal only deepens the sense that authentic voices can be removed without explanation, accountability, or due process.
This account has been used respectfully, thoughtfully, and in good faith to engage in important public discussion.
When legitimate users are left unheard while waiting for even the most basic transparency, it raises serious questions about fairness on this platform.
A voice should not be erased without reason.
Please review this suspension, provide clarity, and restore @Algore09Algor.
