Jake Tapper recently pulled up an old clip of me to lecture his audience on "principles" and claim conservatives won't call out the White House on restricting press access. Well, Jake, there’s just one tiny problem with your expert-level reporting... I did call it out. I stated explicitly on my broadcast that I disagree with this policy. I don't think it's wise policy. I don't like this policy. Just like it was under Obama. But in classic CNN fashion, you conveniently chopped that part out to manufacture a hypocritical hit piece. You were right when you said that, "if you stand for principles only when they benefit you, you're only borrowing them." But maybe look in the mirror first before you try to use it to dunk on others. Weaponizing half-truths isn't journalism. It’s why your ratings are in the toilet, why no one is watching CNN, and why no one trusts a single word you say.
