Great read. Many L2s love to boast about high transaction counts, but it’s been clear for years that a large chunk of this activity is fake. Bots swapping back and forth just to inflate on-chain volume are also still a major issue, for chains and protocols alike.

It becomes more and more obvious that Base is filled with bots txs. A mix of snipe and arbs txs. TPS is not a good metric.
