Want to get to know the College's special collections? Introducing some of our favourite owl art from the fine press books of the Ohtake Collection 🦉
The Ohtake Collection contains approximately 2000 books amassed by the late Masatsugu Ohtake, Professor of English Literature.
The items on display represent Professor Ohtake's interest in and links with fine press publishers, whose books utilised traditional book illustration techniques like wood engraving, alongside other heritage book crafts like handmade paper, hand binding and paper marbling.
Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ Drop by the Library for this month's display featuring a wide selection of recreational reads.
We're celebrating our 140th Anniversary year with a themed historical Hughes Brews. Take a very un-historically-accurate trip back to the 1880s to the founding of the college as Cambridge Training College with snacks, music, drinks & (actually accurate) photos from the archives!
Happy End of Term! Tomorrow (21 June) the Library closes at 4pm for the Hughes Hall June Event. We will reopen the next day at 8am. If you're attending, we hope you enjoy!
