We kept our pj theme for the sectional draw. The girls played hide and seek while the seniors signed the senior sheet. We are ready for a fun two weeks!!
Instead of practice, we helped clean after school today to show our love on Custodian Appreciation Day! Better photos and videos coming soon 💙
Coach Kathy always does a fantastic job of promoting this special event! It’s a match we look forward to because we know there will be great rallies and great sportsmanship - all for a great cause!!
Yesterday was about more than 🏐 it was also about mental health 💜 Thank @HotDogVB for always supporting this, double so this year!
While Gophers did not come out w/ a scoreboard win, we executed a game plan & brought awareness to mental health!

Basketball has a lying problem. Everybody says they want to win. Until winning means fewer shots, harder defense, a smaller role, passing up good for great, and cheering when you thought you’d play more. Everybody wants the trophy. Few want the truth it takes to earn it.

Thank you to Central for hosting and for @iscsportsnet for broadcasting the game!

Parents, if your kid has to play JV as a freshman or even a sophomore…it’s not the worst thing in the world. Stop letting your pride and ego get in the way of what’s best for your kid.
This is worth reading!!
I worked with a D1 player and a D3 player this morning.
On paper...
They looked almost identical.
6'4 200 pounds...
Both had elite bat speed. Both had power. Both were physically gifted.
But there was one difference.
Every time the D3 player mishit a ball...
He complained.
He got frustrated.
He pouted.
Then he'd struggle for the next 3 or 4 swings.
Pop-up.
Ground ball.
Weak contact.
The D1 player?
He'd mishit one.
Make an adjustment
...And move on.
No emotion.
No drama.
Just the next pitch.
It reminded me of something I learned playing professional baseball...
Sometimes the biggest difference between two players isn't their talent.
It's the conversation they're having with themselves in their head after they fail.
Your bat speed matters.
Your swing matters.
But the operating system between your ears matters just as much.
The best hitters I've been around don't waste energy explaining why they failed.
They spend their energy figuring out what to do on the next pitch.
- Jermaine Curtis
P.S. The next time you mishit a ball, don't ask, "What's wrong with me?"
Ask, "What's my adjustment?"
P.P.S. - If you enjoyed this, and thought it was helpful, share it.
(It tells me you want more content like this)

Couldn’t say it any better than this!!
A 2-star QB scrambling for potentially the national-championship-winning touchdown on 4th down in his hometown against his hometown team after winning the Heisman for the most losing program of all time while his mother with MS screams for joy from her seat is possibly the limit of how good sports can get
