A little vineyard on top of the hills at Port Lincoln, had a great chat to the team about powdery mildew management and purchased a very nice Grenache whilst there!

Superannuation does not come from nowhere. Australia’s compulsory Super Guarantee is now 12%. That is part of the cost of employing labour and therefore part of the cost of producing goods and services in Australia. If an employee earns $100,000 and another $12,000 must be contributed to super, that $12,000 is a real labour cost to the business. Ultimately businesses have to recover their total costs through productivity, margins and the prices customers pay. There is no magical pot of money. So Senator Hanson is raising a legitimate question about compulsory super: would you rather have greater control over your own money, or have government decide that part of your remuneration must be locked away for decades? Who understands your circumstances better, you, or the government?
Who knows whether paying down your mortgage, buying your first home, investing in your business, reducing debt or saving for retirement is the best decision for your family? You, or the government? People should absolutely be encouraged to save and invest for retirement. But encouragement and compulsion are two very different principles. Personal responsibility means accepting the consequences of your decisions but it also means being trusted to make them.
It’s your labour.
It’s your remuneration.
It’s your retirement.
It’s your life.
Why shouldn’t you have more control over it?
This place is the most humbling places to visit in the NT and probably Australia! A place to stop and spend some time to walk amongst those that gave so much for our country

The @AlboMP government just spent 20 million dollars to tell people to take the roof racks off their cars, pump their tyres up and don’t use the Air Conditioning in their cars to save fuel .
You couldn’t make this shit up if you tried . That’ll do me .
an interesting read, abc.net.au/news/2026-04-02/e…
Just an FYI if you receive crop protection product and it is a suspension concentrate formulation. If it looks like this it is ok to use, the formulation is behaving how it should in transport and storage. Hence why the label will say to shake well before use.
I don't think Ron has had anyone take up his offer yet!
CLIMATE EMERGENCY
Since I have only a few years left on this earth, I'm offering to remove the imminent risk of rising sea levels for one Sydney family.
I will exchange a house in Bendigo, at elevation 272m, and a distance of approximately 150km from the nearest coastline, for a waterfront property in the Greater Sydney area.
3BR, 2 bath, 2 car accommodation. Own title. Front and rear yard. Like-for-like required.
This is the chance of a lifetime for a believer in the climate emergency to take positive action to save their family.
We pay some of the highest council rates in SA in the Berri / Barmera council area and a big increase this year and this is how they look after the footpath. Well at least if I spray them they will be controlled!
A couple of weeks off now and heading up to cross the Simpson desert, looking forward to spending some time enjoy the experience
Congrats to the father-son team George and Alan Ruttiman, from Rutto’s Mangoes in Bowen, Queensland, who become the first growers to purchase VERTENTO® insecticide in Australia.

A bit of application testing and correction in mangoes today, the grower is very happy to get some answer to some issues he had last season!
