Nearly 300 neighbors, community partners, and city and state leaders recently gathered at Turnaround Tuesday's headquarters in East Baltimore for Rooted in Baltimore, Growing Together, a celebration of 150 years of partnership between Johns Hopkins and our city. The event highlighted how Hopkins works alongside Baltimore schools, nonprofits, businesses, and neighborhoods, including through HopkinsLocal. Since 2015, that initiative has helped us hire nearly 5,400 city residents and spend nearly $1.4 billion with local businesses. bit.ly/4yrLWmO

"This past weekend was one we will never forget," wrote @JHUCIH executive director Allison Barlow. "The generosity and infectious energy of @OliviaRodrigo and Daisy Chain Fields festival continues to multiply. During Olivia’s headline performance, we learned that the initial gifts announced for the festival’s nonprofit partners would be matched by @MelindaGates. As a result, $2 million will come to @JHUCIH—to protect and grow our programming for Indigenous mothers, women, children and families." 🔗 cih.jhu.edu/daisy-chain-fest…
