With cost of living rises due to world events, it's inevitable #homelessness will rise. Local businesses give us precious help especially as the generosity of our local donors is squeezed by tighter finances. Thanks @Hickorys_
Thx to anyone wishing to donate Just Giving.1)
Thanks to Hayden Broadbent and the team and guests at Hickory's Smokehouse for this year's Easter Eggs for our #homeless folk and struggling families.
Hetty the HOPING Hen was out and about in central York on Easter Sunday giving Easter Eggs to local children and spreading goodwill in glorious sunshine. Happy Easter to everyone and thankyou for your kind donations. Here is Polly enjoying chocolate and fun with Hetty.#homeless

Given these were not far right with the flags that caused the upset on our lamp posts, MnS should have made a formal donation & kept the Vets warm with regular cuppas. Much better PR. We get too many #homeless veterans to @HopingYork Nationally they're not looked after enough.

@Anja_Popp Oh Anja what a wonderful feature. FDAC is clearly a model of treatment for families with drug or alcohol challenges.
@HopingYork we see similar mums (& dads) losing their children. Heart-breaking. It plunges them deeper into despair & the severance for children tragic
Around 80 diners today. Usually over 100. So the spare food went to the ladies of Robinson Court. Apt on #International Women's Day! Thanks to all our kind donors and volunteers.

My heart goes out to Trudi & more information for women (& men!) on how to save themselves safely would be helpful. She wishes she'd phoned him not told him in person.@HopingYork we help women&men seeking refuge from coercive/violent partners.Mostly signposting but also listening.
One of the busiest services ever, yet enough for everyone. Thermal accessories essential for those sleeping on freezing streets. One lady walks the city centre till dawn when it is safer to go to sleep. This is why HOPING volunteers help. Desolate to be #Homeless Thx4donations.🥰
New Year Greetings from the team at HOPING York.
As winter ice grips, we fear for those on the streets and families who struggle to pay heating bills. Thanks to our all volunteer team for providing consistently & to our donors on whom we depend. 2026 calls us all.🥰
