The “Science” Museum just killed irony (and their own reputation).
Exclusive: The Science Museum has signed a gagging clause in its agreement with Shell International to sponsor its climate change exhibition, agreeing to take care not to say anything that could damage the company’s reputation, Channel 4 News has learnt.

It was good to be in Bamford yesterday with @HopeClimate for the launch of the Travelling Light project. A pilot scheme for the Hope Valley to become a national demonstration area for sustainable travel. Well done to everyone involved!

We're destabilizing the planet. Meanwhile our leaders continue to destroy present and future living conditions - opening new pipelines, oilfields and investing fantasy amounts into fossil fuel infrastructure, despite all the beautiful words. #MindTheGap between words and action.
I can't believe I am writing this. Canada 🇨🇦 has obliterated its national all-time heat record *for the second day in a row*. Before yesterday, greater than 45°C had never been recorded. As far as climatology is concerned, this is deeply shocking.

The climate and ecological crisis is rapidly escalating. G7 spends fantasy amounts on fossil fuels as CO2 emissions are forecast for 2nd biggest annual rise ever. This calls for steak-and-lobster-BBQ-celebration while jet planes perform aerobatics in the sky above the G7 resort!

At last! A crucial, missing piece of the climate jigsaw. For some time, I've been speculating that trawling is likely to release significant amounts of carbon from the seabed. But there was no data. Now there is, and it's even worse than I imagined. time.com/5947430/bottom-traw…

Another day Another Burn in @peakdistrict NP above Abney in Hope Valley Derbys. Moorland owners continue to incinerate our #Uplands and do their bit to wreck the climate. You wouldn't think we have #ClimateEmergency with UN #COP26 looming.Time to #bantheburn and #savetheclimate

Very impressive - and very encouraging - flock of 116 Curlews roosting at Redmires Res this evening. Even more notable was the lack of dogs off the lead and absence of dog-walkers insisting on walking the shoreline, despite signage. If only it were always thus... @shefbirdstudy

This is what the moors in Sheffield looked like yesterday. Peatlands are still being burnt - damaging our biodiversity & climate. Government legislation can’t come quickly enough - and must be strengthened so it protects all of our peatlands. #BanTheBurn #ClimateEmergency

Wasting food feeds climate change. 70% of the food we waste each year in the UK comes from our homes – that’s 4.5 million tonnes of food that could’ve been eaten! #FoodWasteActionWeek
