Registered as N830FE (MSN 1239), the aircraft represents a new development in the ATR 72-600 platform, combining the flexibility of a converted passenger aircraft with enhanced cargo-loading capability. Large Cargo Door (LCD): The installation of a massive forward 2.94 m x 1.80 m (116" x 71") main deck cargo door allows the aircraft to accept standard industry Unit Load Devices (ULDs) ACIA says MSN 1239 will establish a blueprint for future conversions, as demand continues for modern turboprop freighters. The milestone comes as FedEx continues to invest in its regional feeder network. In March 2025, the company ordered 10 factory-built ATR 72-600F freighters, with deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2029.
