And finally (sorry!) imagine the fucking guilt these women feel when they have the baby and inevitably fall in love with it, they have the life they never wanted but put the child first as they watch their dreams disappear because some octogenarians valued a clump of cells more.
And another thing. They don’t have free healthcare over there. Do they even have statutory maternity leave? Are women being forced to have a baby then being left to it when they’re at their most vulnerable? It’s a minefield this but I’m certain taking their choice away is shit.
I suddenly feel worried for the women in America who’ve had their choice removed. God forbid they get trapped, stuck, have no way out and try and make their lives right themselves.
