Our young men and women, over 30 in number, have concluded a two-week empowerment training in the production of footwear and leather goods. They have also been supported with startup packages & cash incentives.
We shall continue to broaden the wealth creation opportunities of our good people.

With a very heavy heart and immediate concern, I rose before the House today, over the recent tragic accident that has cost the lives of 10 students of the Fed. Uni. of Lokoja and a campus shuttle bus driver.
While calling for a minute silence in their honour, I acknowledged & commended the State Governor for earlier relocating the International market to decongest the Felele link of the Lokoja-Okene Benin route, including the plan to expand

In furtherance of our objective of improving the health and well-being of our people, we are initiating a 2-day medical outreach to deliver free treatment for basic, non complicated health challenges,
including routine care for pregnant women and underaged children.
The outreach commences with Karara and Gegu-Beki communities on 8th and 9th January 2025, respectively.

In furtherance of our commitment to food security and enhancement of the agricultural potentials of our good people ahead of the next farming season, we have started the new year with distribution of bags of fertilizer
across 7 and 11 wards in Lokoja and Kogi local governments, respectively.
The distribution was flagged off by the Chairman, Lokoja LG, Hon. Adamu Abdullahi & the State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk.
