The Finance Bill 2024 has been thoroughly analyzed by financial experts, economists, and the business community.
Across various segments of our country, public participation has revealed a clear consensus.
Religious institutions have opposed the bill.
Manufacturers and businesses of all sizes have voiced their disapproval.
International financiers have raised concerns about the sustainability of the proposed taxes.
The general public has warned the government against implementing these punitive taxes.
Economists and other analysts have expressed skepticism about the projected impact of these excessive taxes. After reviewing the data, I WILL OPPOSE this bill, as I did last year, because Kenyans have had enough of burdensome taxes.
"For a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~Winston Churchill
It was a great honour yesterday to be hosted alongside Hon. Wanjiku Muhia, MP for Kipipiri constituency, on @RadioCitizenFM.
We had an engaging discussion on the unity of the Alternative Opposition, the importance of bringing opposition leaders together, strengthening collaboration, and building a common agenda that reflects the aspirations of Kenyans.
We also reflected on leadership, governance, and the pressing issues affecting our people.
Grateful to Radio Citizen for providing the platform and to everyone who tuned in.
Unity, dialogue, and a shared vision remain essential in shaping the conversations about Kenya’s future.
Kenya needs more than political rhetoric,we need a leader with the capacity, experience and track record to tackle the challenges facing our country. @RealMatiangi has demonstrated that ability before. His record in public service gives us something to measure not just promises. For me, he is a tested leader for a demanding task
Witnessed the beginning of a new chapter in spiritual leadership alongside @RealMatiangi and fellow opposition leaders at Priesthood Fellowship Church, Kahawa West.
Congratulations to Archbishop Dr. J.J. Gitahi. May his journey be guided by divine wisdom, unwavering faith, and a heart devoted to service.
Join me live on @RadioCitizenFM today as from 6-8 pm. Let’s connect &engage .
To all our learners sitting for the KPSEA, KJSEA and KCSE examinations, I wish you success as you begin this important journey.
Believe in yourselves, stay focused, remain calm, and give every paper your very best. May God grant you wisdom, confidence, and a clear mind throughout the examinations.
All the best, candidates! Your hard work will surely pay off.
Those claiming that @RealMatiangi isn’t campaigning should remember that he did his campaigns long ago through performance and delivery.
As CS, he reformed the national examinations system, cracked down on exam cheating, oversaw Kenya’s transition to digital TV, and strengthened accountability in the education sector.
He also strengthened the National Police Service, increased police recruitment and operational capacity, tackled banditry and cattle rustling, and played a key role in coordinating government programmes and ensuring their implementation.
That is the kind of campaign that doesn’t need loud rallies or endless promises. The work was done, the results were visible, and the record remains.
Matiang’i doesn’t have to tell Kenyans what he can do we have already seen what he can do. His track record speaks for itself.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
May God grant all bereaved families strength, comfort, and peace during these difficult moments. 🙏🏽
Today, we gathered in Magenche Ward to honour and celebrate the life of the late Mzee Kenneth Sasati Onchoka, father to Hon. Winner Sasati.
We stand with the family in remembering a life well lived and a legacy that will forever remain in our hearts. May his soul rest in eternal peace
Another win for @LindaMwananchi_
The journey to SUGOI still remains unstoppable.
If Governor @GeorgeNatembeya's security was withdrawn because he has become a political headache for the Kenya Kwanza administration, then this is deeply troubling.
Political competition should never be turned into a reason to compromise the security of an elected governor. Natembeya’s protection is tied to his office and constitutional mandate, not to whether those in power agree with his politics.
Murkomen should know that intimidation will not silence a governor with a popular mandate. And any attempt to restrict Natembeya or use security agencies to force the opening of Masinde Muliro Market will only fuel more public anger.
Respect the governor, respect his mandate, and above all, respect the Constitution. Kenyans are watching.
At the end of the day, no matter how much they intimidate, manipulate or weaponise state power, one thing remains clear, Kenya Kwanza Government is a TAWE.
Baba, thank you for being our political mentor, Jakom. Your wisdom shaped our political journey, and your legacy remains alive in our hearts. Today, we celebrate you, remember you, and honour the mark you left on us. 🕊️
