Am I really doing it? I can't believe in a few months I could come this far. After my 1st 5 digits payout from @immunefi I managed to get 1st place in the CodeHaws @beanstalkmoney contest. Let's keep it up! 👨🏻‍💻
Awards have been announced for the Beanstalk Part 1 contest🤝 Top 5: 🥇 @HolyDevoti0n - $24,148.11 🥈 @golanger85 - $21,798.57 🥉 @0xInAllHonesty - $18,274.25 🏅 @0xbeastboy - $11,825.65 🏅 @ZealynxSecurity - $8,223.41 (1/2)

It seems the OpenAI Daybreak Blue model is just the same Gpt 5.6 with the same safeguards, just rebranded as the "fewer restrictions" model. At this point, Daybreak Red is the only option, but unfortunately, independent SRs can't apply for it. Can we? @OpenAI @thsottiaux

Yup
Open AI nerfed cyber part of GPT 5.6 silently this weekend

FYI: This is a North Korean approaching several SRs to do the classic "here's the link for the interview". linkedin.com/in/oscarbankles… So in case he approaches you on Telegram or LinkedIn, you already know. :) Be careful out there, folks.

GPT 5.6 has been nerfed really badly. I ran it against my private benchmark, and its coverage dropped by 16%(Ultra). It also can't finish a simple task; it keeps overengineering even when you explicitly ask it not to. Worse, it never stops the loop of introducing bugs and fixing them. From 100 to 0 all of a sudden.

Security researchers still grinding the same way they did last year are getting cooked. The criticals in BBPs and contests keep getting taken by people running proper AI harnesses. The old manual-only approach is dead. Adapt or start starving. Simple as that.

Both Anthropic and OpenAI will keep lobotomising their models for cybersecurity. Thanks to competition, open models like GLM 5.2 are catching up fast. So build an audit pipeline where you can swap in any model, making the time to find bugs the only variant.

Harness is a hot topic for audit agents rn. One tip: encode your manual audit approach deterministically and let it guide the LLM, not the reverse. Review how you audit by hand, then build the pipeline to work like you. You’re halfway there. 🫡

Locked in these past two months hunting tough BBPs, found some interesting bugs. Real highlight though: pushed my AI game further and built my own agentic AI auditor. It’s already bagged 1 crit + 1 high. Hyped for what’s next.
