Undertaking my DNSPQ has really hit home how few people (NHS colleagues, friends & family) donโt understand the difference between DN and community nurse/sister What can we do to change this and promote the value of SPQ? @CrystalOldman @SamSherrington @SpecPractice @hattierocket

The Health Secretary knows just how strong NHS nurses are together so heโs threatening them with legal action to prevent them fighting against real terms pay cuts.
Please RT if this has only strengthened your support for nurses.

In practice today discussing #nursing in the #community & today specifically #districtnursing. The team visited 130 people at home today. That's 130 people (or 5 full wards) who didn't call an ambulance or GP/go to the ED/get admitted to hospital. Let's invest in this service 1/2
Wow ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ how about that for a slap in the face. Just awful ๐ก
**The โPAY AWARDโ will be backdated to 1st April 22 and due to this your pay for September could be around ยฃ200 LESS **
โPay awardโ = less take home
Disappointed to be greeted by this letter when I arrived home after my 39 hour NHS shift of work/on call. #nhs #nhspay #NHSPayCut
Amazing and rare opportunity to join our team as administrator- take a peek- this will be snapped up quick!!!jobs.nhs.uk/xi/vacancy/91722โฆ

Do Tory MPs genuinely think after a gruelling shift we pootled on down to the staff room for a drink & debrief? I had to call my husband from the car to get the kids out the way so I could get in, strip off & get in the shower without the โriskโ of my children trying to cuddle me
Our General Secretary and Chief Executive @patcullen9 has written to @Mike_Fabricant over his comments today on nurses drinking in staff rooms during #COVID19.
Brilliant thread by @Existential_Doc leading with need for DNโs. The hardest, but most rewarding part of my job for sure- and very lucky to have such collaboration between our palliative care team @Weldmar and our MDT @DorsetHealth
Good to see you @HelenPersey and Sharon- good to know our voices are being heard and views are counted ๐ #collaboration #communitynursing
We met with Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme DN teams today to talk about what would make a difference for our teams and patients. So many things discussed and I feel really privileged to be able to do this - thank you to this amazing team! @DorsetHealth @Dorset_RN #proud

Replying to @jagreen121
Pls RT. There was never a more important time to recognise & invest in the #DistrictNurse & the #DistrictNursing service. They are the key, highly trained professionals who will accelerate the ambition of integration. @TheQNI @NPAGUK @alisonleary1 @johnunsworth10 @WinnMatthew

This is FABULOUS!!!!!! @DorsetHealth @Dorset_RN @hattierocket could we do something like this?? #innovative
QR Bar in ED . No alcohol served ! just quicker access to guidelines , policies & educational tools #education#rapidaccess#learning&education#patientsafety#thelittlethingsthatsavetime
I often hear the following misconceptions about community nursing:
itโs just wound care and leg dressings
itโs an easy role to go into when you are near retirement
itโs not skilled
thereโs not a lot of progression
None of these could be more wrong.

They have a huge selection of training available through the Trust & I have also been given the opportunity to do the Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing, & the independent and supplementary prescribing (V300).
