Why is Brad Battin so keen to defend his decision to give a private school $8m of taxpayer money. Could it be his staffer is on school council and happens to work for him? Or his other donor Bulte who is Also on the Board or worse his kids go to the school. I hope not on a special scholarship? Smells to high heaven…and I mean your crap Bradley

Where’s the $80million of taxpayer money Angus? Why did you burn protected grasses Angus? Why did you lie about the forged document Angus? Why did you try and hide the rocketing energy prices from Australians Angus and then refuse to admit you did…?

If Zelensky Is So Corrupt, Why Can’t Anyone Buy Him? 🇺🇦
I just realized something almost hilarious if it wasn’t very obvious and also real about the whole anti-Zelensky narrative.
For years we have been told that Zelensky is corrupt, illegitimate, a puppet, a billionaire thief, some CIA creation, whatever version happens to be useful that day. And yet somehow Putin, Trump, oligarchs, billionaires and the entire anti-Ukraine political machine still cannot control him.
Think about that contradiction.
Zelensky was elected in 2019 with about 73% of the runoff vote. Ukraine has not held another presidential election because elections are suspended under martial law during Russia’s invasion, something Zelensky has said could change if conditions allow a safe and legal vote. Meanwhile Trump, Elon and others are now openly calling for Ukraine to replace him after Zelensky refused demands to stop attacking Russian energy infrastructure and bend over to them.
And this is where their own propaganda stops making sense. If Zelensky were really as spectacularly corrupt as they claim, why wouldn’t somebody have bought him years ago?
Putin has all the money. Russian oligarchs have money. Western billionaires have money. Elon has more money than all of them. Trump has political power. There are people with enormous financial and geopolitical interests who would benefit from a Ukrainian president willing to make the right deal for them.
If Zelensky were really nothing but a corrupt opportunist, the easiest path imaginable would have been to take the money, make peace with Putin on Putin’s terms, protect himself, become insanely wealthy, powerful and live comfortably ruling the Ukraine and the area as a probably richest dictator on earth.
Instead, Russia invaded, Zelensky stayed, Ukraine kept fighting, and years later these people are still trying to pressure him, discredit him, replace him and convince everyone that he is somehow the problem.
Trump and Elon has now publicly called for Ukraine to get a new president after Zelensky resisted pressure over Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries. Their relationship has deteriorated sharply precisely because Zelensky has continued pursuing policies Washington told him to stop.
So maybe the reason so many powerful men seem absolutely fucking obsessed with Zelensky is much simpler than all the conspiracy theories.
Maybe they hate him because they cannot break him.
Maybe they hate him because they cannot buy him.
Maybe they are simply jealous of him and his amazing courage and integrity.?
And maybe nothing drives men obsessed with power more insane than another man they cannot control.

She is reposting a representative of the Russian government—a war criminal.
Trump has normalized Russia’s crimes, reducing Russia to merely one of the warring parties.
God, how terrifying it is when evil multiplies its power and acts with ever-increasing brazenness.

A mother was sentenced to 17 years in a russian prison. Her son got 19. Their 61-year-old friend got 19.
Their alleged crime? Being Ukrainian on occupied Ukrainian land.
Valentyna and Andriy Myronenko and Serhiy Smykalov were seized in occupied Berdiansk in February 2025. They were reportedly held incommunicado for two weeks before being charged. Then came 19 months of near-total silence — until their sentences were announced.
The occupation court has not even disclosed the judge’s identity or whether hearings took place. No publicly available evidence substantiates the alleged sabotage plot.
This is how russia turns occupied Ukrainian territory into a prison — and resistance into a pretext for decades behind bars.

A couple days ago, I posted jobs numbers from the past 6 presidents, 3 Republican (Bush I, Bush II, and Trump) and 3 Democratic (Clinton, Obama, and Biden). Over 20 years, nearly 50 million jobs were added under the 3 Democratic presidents, whereas only 2 million have been added under the aforementioned Republicans, over the course of 17 years, 8 months. A good percentage of MAGA responders said something along the lines of, "The Democrat Party only added government jobs! Look at the private sector!"
Very well.
First, let's look at public sector or government jobs.
George H.W. Bush (R, 4 years): +1.127M
Bill Clinton (D, 8 years): +1.934M
George W. Bush (R, 8 years): +1.744M
Barack Obama (D, 8 years): -263k
Donald Trump I (R, 4 years): -575k
Joe Biden (D, 4 years): +1.816M
Donald Trump II (R, 1 year, 8 months): -230k
Democratic Presidents (20 years): +3.487M
Republican Presidents (17 years, 8 months): +2.066M
Difference: Democrats +1.421M/Republicans -1.421M
Not much difference. Now let's move onto the private sector.
George H.W. Bush (R, 4 years): +1.502M
Bill Clinton (D, 8 years): +20.979M
George W. Bush (R, 8 years): -368k
Barack Obama (D, 8 years): +11.812M
Donald Trump I (R, 4 years): -2.19M
Joe Biden (D, 4 years): +13.589M
Donald Trump II (R, 1 year, 8 months): +1.006M
Democratic Presidents (20 years): +46.380M
Republican Presidents (17 years, 8 months): -50k
Difference: Democrats +46.430M/Republicans -46.430M
That's right, over the past 37 years, 8 months, Republican presidents are actually underwater, as far as private-sector jobs go, whereas Democrats are 46 million+ above it. No matter what the GOP tries to sell you on the old, tired narrative that they're better for the economy, the numbers tell a completely different story.

This chart is insane. This shows Russia's casualties over time compared to Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine over the last five years.
No sane or rational person would say continuing the war to try and take more of Ukraine's territory is worth the casualties.

Here's why Brazil’s Supreme Court extended voting today.
In 2023, the Court ruled in ADPF 1.013 that cities must provide free public transit on Election Day.
Today, buses went missing in Salvador, São Paulo, and Feira de Santana. All three mayors endorsed Flávio Bolsonaro.
In Salvador, judges found buses parked in the garage on city orders and ordered the transit secretary arrested.
So Justice Zanin enforced the Court’s own ruling: two extra hours for the voters those cities left stranded.
It's alleged that Bolsonaro loyalists grounding public transit to suppress the vote violated a Supreme Court order, which is the actual scandal today. Not that the Supreme Court granted the requests of BOTH candidates to extended voting so that voters would not be disenfranchised.
But it's telling that MAGA thinks that latter is the scandal.

This is demonstrably true. Previously, each Vatnik Soup thread received between 300k and 5M impressions. Now, we're lucky if we get 100k.
Our annual views have dropped from 700M to 280M. Posts about Ukraine shared by accounts with millions of followers barely get any traction, whereas our more generic posts about AI, for example, can get millions of views.
Ukraine is still one of the hottest topics on this platform, yet voices supporting the country are being throttled, just like Starlink/Starshield was.

Getting rid of MTBE production is also a win for the enviroment. I was involved in the fight to ban it in California 20 years ago because it was polluting groundwater everywhere it was distributed, from leaky fuel tanks. The replacement is a small amount of ethanol from corn.

As someone who was critical of Albo’s golf funding deal (pork barrelling by both sides is a joke), I can tell you this PM briefing about Haines is categorically not any sort of dirt file.
Anyone who calls this a dirt file, as Peter Van Onselen did, does not have a single clue about how public sector briefings to Ministers work. Either that or they are a rusted-on bleacher-screeching barrow-pusher for one side of politics. Van Onselen’s pieces read like a cadet who has read an offical document for the first time.
All the information is completely legitimately gathered, including an attempt to ascertain a pecuniary interest.
There are hundreds of these things written every day at state, federal and local government level for ministers of every colour.
Stock. Standard. Briefing.
