Replying to @ImmunityCP
@ImmunityCP Single-cell epigenetic, transcriptional & protein profile of latent & active HIV+ cells by DOGMAseq identified 4 states of HIV+ cells: IRF, cytotoxic, AP-1 & cell death. IKZF3 helps HIV+ cells proliferate. Congrats to our postdoc @Yulong_Wei!🎊 bitly.ws/ZgNw
Enjoying exciting science and stimulating discussions at CROI 2024! Congrats to our postdoc Michelle for her work on finding HIV reservoir and T cell migration dynamics in the gut and undergrad Sam for his work on HIV-host interactions at the integration site.
HIV tat mRNA-lipid nanoparticle+panobinostat can reactivate HIV+ cells 3X higher than PMA/ionomycin (the strongest HIV latency reversing agent) with minimal effects on the cell transcriptome. Congrats Marion Pardons at Linos Vandekerckhove Lab/Ghent!

Many thanks to our study participants and study team in the Sabes and Merlin Cohort, led by @DuerrHOPEgroup. Inspired by @vincewu9 @BettsLab @golnaz_v @LauraVella17 . @REACHforthecure @YaleMicroPath @YaleRNA @YaleIBIO
Understanding heterogenous & rare HIV reservoir requires single-cell multiomics. What are ECCITEseq, FINDseq, PhePseq, ASAPseq, DOGMAseq? Why & how? Principles, method & bioinformatic guide reviewed @CO_HIV_AIDS by our postdocs Michelle Wong & @Yulong_Wei

Beautiful study/must read! @RasmiThomas /MHRP today @ScienceTM: Single-cell multiomics identified restriction factor PTMA. HIV RNA+ cells overexpress cytotoxic markers. PTMA negatively correlate with HIV RNA. PTMA overexpression inhibits HIV transcription. bitly.ws/PVLN
Contributing to the exciting #IAS2023 meeting by a Plenary talk on "New Approaches to measuring HIV reservoir" with @asiersc @Thumbi_Ndungu. Enjoyed stimulating discussions with colleagues and friends! @DuerrHOPEgroup @ProfSharonLewin @Marinacaskey @AlbertoBosqueP @BettsLab
Find & target HIV reservoir, by amazing artist Paco. HIV Science as Art program brings HIV discoveries to life by 12 extraordinary artists living with HIV. On exhibit at MetroArts Brisbane. All funds raised will support community HIV programs & services. bitly.ws/MjVk
Learning HIV life cycle by recapitulating @dsgoodsell's beautiful and evidence-based illustrations in our lab retreat. Discovered impressive talent of our lab members!
Integration site-dependent HIV-1 promoter activity shapes host chromatin interaction - by our AMAZING student/postdoc Jack Collora, the first & co-corresponding author of @GenomeRes paper, using DOGMAseq (RNAseq+ATACseq+protein), HIV-1 4C, HiC, HiChIP.

Inspired by @AnatMelamed /Charles Bangham, @LubanLab, Kevin Einkauf/Mathias Lichterfeld, @vincewu9/@BettsLab, @Satpathology. This manuscript recapitulated Jack's Uta von Schwedler Prize talk at CSHL Retro 2022.
No more labor intensive limiting dilution - Quantitative full-length sequencing of HIV RNA developed by Christian Gallardo @MrGalloLA from the @BruceTorbett lab! Amazing innovative advancement!
Enjoying stimulating talks with amazing scientists at the @REACHforthecure annual meeting. Thank you Brad and Marina for running the exciting collaboratory! @rBradJones @marinacaskey1 @Denniscopertin0 @AlbertoBosqueP @RebeccaLynchLab @guineverelee
Congratulations to our outstanding Yale Microbiology PhD student @afeez_sodeinde in the @NathanGrubaugh lab for the NSF GRFP award!! @YaleMicroPath @HarmitMalik
A fun weekend introducing Yale Micro PhD program to new recruits - with amazing current students and faculty! A snapshot of @marioph13, Mikey Grunst, @EllenFoxman, Maudry Laurent-Rolle, @WilenLab @BenIsraelow. Thanks to DGA Dr. Priti Kumar & Registrar Jeni! @YaleMicroPath
It has been such an amazing recruitment weekend for Yale BBS Microbiology PhD program! #LoveVirology #LoveMicrobiology 😁
Feeling excited and humbled being elected as American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI) member. Many thanks to generous support from Yale colleagues, collaborators in the HIV field & my students & postdocs who made the scientific discoveries.

Our @YaleMicroPath PhD student Kristen Olivera presented her work on spatial transcriptomic profiling of lymph node tissue microenvironment at #CROI2023 as a New Investigator Awardee. Many thanks to @RongFan8's cutting-edge technology and a unique cohort from @GFPvirus Lab!
The single-cell epigenetic, transcriptional, and protein states can now be examined in the same single cell, both for HIV DNA+ cells and HIV RNA+ cells. Congrats to our postdoc @Yulong_Wei for his amazing late breaker talk at the HIV cure session of the exciting CROI 2023.
First single cell ATACseq-based definition of HIV reservoirs ex vivo! Check out Nature Immunology this week. Amazing work by @BettsLab @vincewu9 @LauraVella17. Congrats Vincent!!
Our latest paper just published @NatImmunol: First single cell ATACseq-based definition of HIV reservoirs ex vivo! nature.com/articles/s41590-0…
