Y'all ain't gonna like this post, but there's truth here. I personally know a few MPs who are worried. The by-elections are key.

Rumour had it when the House rose several CPC MPs planned to resign over the summer. Some from seats we have held for a while, like Brantford—Brant South—Six Nations (Brock's riding).
If we lose that - and some similar ones - there could be internal questions.
We'll win Wagantall's in Sask easily. We aren't expected to win Chicoutimi or ones not presently held by us. But if we start losing Ontario and Western ones we do hold, then that's when knives may come out.
Where did the Liberals prioritize spending in 2025? Helping struggling seniors making up to $93,000. Elbows up!
Not really opposed to any of these things in general. But for me, a balanced budget & tax relief comes before any of this.
