Over the last 12 months we have recruited 148 people from prison to work in the business. Thanks to my colleague @darrenburns60 and the rest of the Timpson family for the kindness and support they have given.

Last week our Chaplaincy team heard of a man due for release today with no accommodation. Thanks to Eastbourne-based Kingdom Way Trust kingdomwaytrust.org/ and Matthew25 Mission matthew25mission.org he has a shelter place for at least a week and local support.

In late Feb we aim to host an accommodation event at @ford_hmp to discuss issues like this, bringing together as many groups as possible from across Sussex. If you'd like to attend please get in touch.

Work with us. The @Parole_Board will be recruiting new members in 2019. One of the key aims of this recruitment campaign is to start to redress the lack of black and minority ethnic members. Take a look at the recruitment page for more information: gov.uk/guidance/work-with-us

This delightful #winterscene from HMP Northumberland is day 22 of our #AdventCalendar. Just 2 pens on paper, it shows sometimes less is more. This artist is 1st-time entrant. As an Associate, he'll receive newsletters & hopefully be encouraged to enter more work next year!

3 great members of staff from @HmpLewes recognised with Group Director commendations and awards today. Especially pleasing to have them nominated by our prisoners or by members of the public. Well done to them for work which exemplifies the best of @hmpps

An excellent programme and only part of what men at Ford are involved in to help support this.

It's not what you know, but who, and connections within the community. From a chance conversation with a local Councillor which led to a discussion on accommodation for those leaving prison came an email today wanting to connect local supporters with 2 men in Lewes.

People locally wanting to act as mentors and assist with preparing for their release. Sadly, we don't do enough of this but need to.
