Quiet actions in the box, shoots this through the 5-6 hole and drives in a run.
Sees the heater and shoots his hands fast through the zone.

HS Baseball Players ⚾️
The WEIGHT ROOM is critical 💪👇
Hitting, to many, is the hardest thing to do in sports.
The very last thing a baseball player needs is complicated instruction.
A lot of talk with very little understanding only causes more confusion and frustration.
Hitting instructors must be great at explaining things
A kid with a "cheap" bat who is being taught great fundamentals always supersedes a player who has an expensive bat with no real approach at the plate!

Robinson Cano couldn’t make it to the Mariners Top 50 Celebration because he was tearing it tf up in the Mexican League last night 🔥🔥🔥
#HomeRunDerby is one of the biggest displays of power in all of baseball. Players are applauded for the ability to hit the ball far. At the same time, commentators kept lauding over how "calm" & "relaxed" Jordan Walker was during his rounds.
Very significant message 4 hitters!

Good hitters don't chase 'more reps'. They chase an environment that challenges them.
Find a cage with hitters ahead of you.
Watch how locked in they are.
Watch how they train with a purpose.
And try keep up.
You get better because you HAVE to. It's the standard.
The best room isn't where you're the best. It's where you're behind, and are forced to KEEP UP
It'll be uncomfortable at first, that's where growth happens.
----
Nobody tells you the hard part about a better room.
It's not only the reps. It's your ego, too.
You won't be the standout for a while.
Not the best in the drills, not the best in the the metrics.
Most guys can't sit in that, so they go back to the room where they're the best.
It feels good.
Feeling like the best and getting better aren't the same thing.
So if you're not the best in the cage environment right now, good. Stay there.
Keep up long enough and you turn into the hitter everyone's chasing.

Was talking to a parent of one of the best draft prospects in the country.
He asked me how important tournament organization player rankings were in terms of the draft.
They have absolutely no importance.
MLB scouting departments have their own rankings, and they're compiled by the scouts they pay.
MLB scouts have a running pref (preference) list that continually gets updated.
Those pref lists will then be discussed, argued and integrated to compile the organizations draft board.
Most organizations will have approximately 15 area scouts, 3-5 regional cross checkers and 2-3 national cross checkers, an assistant scouting director and scouting director.
All of them will have running pref lists that will be integrated before the draft.
Players will get moved around and even removed from the board based on medicals and signability.
Outside rankings will never be mentioned in organizational or draft meetings and have absolutely no value or importance when it comes to the MLB draft.

I had a conversation with a Power 4 college coach who’s been doing this for 25+ years.
We were talking about the mentality of high school players during the recruiting process.
Here’s what he told me:
“What these kids don’t realize is…
I don’t care how many followers you have.
I don’t care how many home runs you hit in travel ball.
I don’t care how many offers you have.
I don’t care about your ranking.
I don’t care how hard you can hit a ball.
I don’t care about your metrics.
The only thing I care about is this:
Are you going to produce in between those white lines when we play this season?”
Then he said something else that hit:
“They’ve been so protected that the first time they fail, they quit… or they transfer.”
And here’s the part that matters.
The biggest development mistake I see?
Players don’t plan for failure.
They plan for success.
They visualize success.
They expect success.
But they don’t prepare for 0-4.
They don’t prepare for getting booed.
They don’t prepare for sitting the bench.
They don’t prepare for struggling for 3 weeks.
So when it happens — and it will — they panic.
Instead of executing a pre-made plan, they try to create one while emotional.
That never works.
Failure is coming.
The question is:
Did you already decide how you’re going to handle it?
THE #1 REASON WHY SOME HITTERS EVENTUALLY GET PHASED OUT OF BASEBALL IS THE INABILITY TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS.
STUBBORN HABITS THAT PLAYERS DO NOT TAKE THE TIME AND EFFORT TO FIX, WILL EVENTUALLY BE THE REASON THEY ARE NO LONGER IN THE GAME. #HITTINGTWITTER
