I guess that was my question: since private centers are on the whole more segregated by class than K-12, are private centers on the whole more "diverse" than school-based programs? Seems hard to disaggregate the differences among them -
I think in practice, in many states mixed delivery is the only way to get to preK at the needed scale, plus it has advantages for wrap-around care and building on existing infrastructure. Are private centers on average more diverse than public schools?
