“If teams are undervaluing the old school type player then it would be relatively cheap to craft a team with the right guys and win. But it won’t happen because it’s not actually better”
Your conclusion is contained in your premise in other words your begging the question(logical fallacy) it’s only true if we assume teams are evaluating correctly . Markets can misprice and organizations can become overly concentrated on certain metrics. Maybe what you’re saying is true but “teams aren’t doing X isn’t proof that X doesn’t work.”
You’re also just appealing to popularity/consensus (another logical fallacy)
“Every organization has adopted analytics therefore analytics must be superior”
This isn’t necessarily true. The fact every organization has done something is only evidence they believe it works not that it is true.

Argue as much as they want, if it had any validity it would work. And to a tee, it’s been eradicated because the new guard beats the old. If teams are undervaluing the “old school” type player then it would be relatively cheap to craft a team with the right guys and win. But it won’t happen because it’s not actually better.
