🚀 The #startup journey in #MedTech and #HealthTech is unlike any other. What if you could take a peek at the map?
You're not just building a product—you're navigating FDA regulations, clinical trials, lengthy sales cycles, and critical decisions impacting real patients and their families. The stakes are higher, the timelines longer, and the expertise required is incredibly specialized.
That's exactly why I'm excited to announce the MedTech Summit🏥

Most startup employees have no idea how to evaluate their equity
And a lot of companies exploit this asymmetry
If the founder of your startup isn't willing to share this information with you, I'd look for a new job:
Don’t forget to ask about liquidity preferences. Owning n% of a company doesn’t mean you get n% of any proceeds. It is quite possible for investors to do well while the employees get little or nothing.

A dark hiring pattern at startups
Giving employees equity but leaving out critical information that helps them value what it's actually worth
I frequently see offers that don't share percentage ownership or total number of shares outstanding
It is your right to ask!

The think folks under-appreciate that #iOS development is a seasonal job. Stuff happens when new SDKs drop.

Ouch. I added RN to an app as an experiment in ~2017. What a disaster!
It isn’t the silver bullet folks assume it is. It won’t fix Cultural and system architecture problems, still requires top-notch native development skills, and it introduces new coordination & training needs.
Almost three years after Shopify announced they were moving to React Native, they’re proud to announce they’ve ported *checks notes* four screens of their main app. shopify.engineering/migratin…

Interpreting questions as statements or requests for anything other than information is a workplace anti-pattern. Holding a candidate's desire to understand the full range of benefits (as well as the benefit philosophy) against them is a terrible hiring practice.
