Olivia Chow hasn’t been perfect as mayor of Toronto.
She didn’t need to be perfect, the city needed her to undo the shit caused by John Tory & Rob Ford.
Has she made mistakes? Yep.
Has she done good? Also yep.
She’s miles ahead of Brad Bradford, she deserves 4 more years.

For all the dummies saying ON THE SIDE STREETS!
Here’s the section being removed now.
Where will they go. We’ve added tens of thousands of ride hail, food delivery and Amazon drivers but definitely - put the cyclists at greater risk surrounded by these drivers. Cool.

Is it too much to ask for publishers of articles advocating for cycling routes on secondary roads in Toronto to require their authors to submit a proposed alternative?
@RDiManno, is this the sort of secondary route you're thinking as an alternative to the Yonge Street lanes?

If you live outside of Toronto, the Ontario government is blowing $50 million of you tax dollars on ripping bike lanes out of Toronto. This is money that could be spent on keeping your local hospital's ER open or fixing your local school's roof.

This morning President Trump announced that Ukraine and Russia have agreed to an 'energy ceasefire'. The media immediately announce it as the truth. Minutes later President Zelensky tells Axios he hasn't heard of any ceasefire.

It's always a scam. They bought all the SI domains. That's why AI is "the enemy" now. 24/7 Fucking grifters.

Can we please have the non-AI version of Google back? I do not want an AI summary. I do not want an AI overview. I do not want AI to read the internet for me. I want Google to show me the actual results. How do I turn this nonsense off?

The folks in Toronto who dislike Bradford the most are those who know him best, namely the residents of his former Beaches East York ward.
Early voting starts today! The last time Brad Bradford’s constituents in Beaches-East York had the chance to vote for him for mayor- having seen first-hand how he treated us as councillor- he came in 6th in his own riding.
Vote wisely Toronto ! #topoli

He is plotting to rig the election. He is stating it publicly. He has done it before. He will try to do it again. We are fools to ignore him.
When a millionaire tells non-millionaires who to vote for, you can be sure that candidate will benefit the millionaire rather than everyone else.
That’s why they are a millionaire are you aren’t! #onpoli

Americans still believe they live in a democracy, which is rather sweet. The president has just explained, out loud and to applause, that the only election result he will accept is the one where his side wins, and the country has responded by nodding politely and going back to arguing about the price of petrol.
In a few weeks they are going to have a crisis dropped into their laps of a size nobody has ever seen before, and they will be absolutely astonished, because apparently being told in advance doesn't count.

Guess again.
Canada declared war on Germany Sept 10, 1939—over two years BEFORE 🇺🇸 did, trained 130K Allied aircrew, built the world's 3rd-biggest navy, defended the North Atlantic, took Juno Beach on D-Day, fought all SIX years of WWII, lived on rations to ship 🇨🇦 food to Brits.

No.
We're not.
We don't want conflict of any kind with the US.
But we won't surrender if attacked.

They drugged and raped her for hours. Sent a message in a group chat that said “free pussy upstairs” nobody stepped in, nobody stopped them.
Every man in that frat is guilty.
The Cornell University r@pist. These men drugged a young woman and took turns r@ping her. In a group chat, they took a picture of her and invited others to rape her. Only two of them were expelled the others had to write an essay. You should be outraged by the outcome. This young woman will forever be changed by what happened to her and these young men get a slap on the hand.

The case for bike lanes in dense cities is actually pretty simple: there’s no room to build more roads. Want to ease congestion? You either reduce the number of cars (congestion pricing) or use existing road space more efficiently.
This is what the latter looks like.

At the lib dem conference last weekend where they made great efforts to be inclusive.
As a woman, however, I felt like misogyny had strolled up and slapped me hard across the face.
