How do I tell my kids Black Panther died? Their superhero. How are you telling yours? How do we place that around the narrative of everything else? It doesn't fit. Nothing makes sense. 1/2
Nailed it! As we push for agency and identity development as part of math discourse that will widen the space of "mathematician". Ask a young one to draw a mathematician..how often do they draw an image of themselves? Not often enough. 1/2

Check out this upcoming PL opportunity for teaching virtual small group! We will be hosting a teacher panel with awesome VB teachers representing K-5th. They will share their experiences with teaching virtual LA & math small groups, as well as creating asynchronous resources.

I made a set of all of the 4th grade @openmiddle problems as a virtual manipulative in Google Slides.
Please try them out and help me make them better. My plan is to do this for every Open Middle grade level and subject.
