As a staunch Hindu and a volunteer of @HinduITcell, I find the sweeping and derogatory manner in which these statements portray Hindu temple priests and religious institutions totally unacceptable. Hindu temples are sacred places of worship, faith and spiritual practice for millions. Temple priests hold an important position in our religious traditions. Making sweeping allegations linking them to rape and sexual exploitation risks maligning an entire religious community and disrespecting its sacred institutions. Freedom of expression cannot be an excuse for irresponsible generalisations that hurt religious sentiments, create hostility or disturb communal harmony. Such public statements, particularly by someone holding a prominent organisational position, deserve serious examination by law enforcement authorities. I therefore urge our Hon’ble CM Dr @himantabiswa (Mama) and @HardiSpeaks Sir to take this complaint seriously and ensure appropriate action in accordance with the law.
