What I have come to realize is the importance of HEART in this work.
Grateful for the past 16 years of little hearts that have added to my story. I will take all those into my next chapter.
🤍
So many beautiful stories are being shared in our circle room redesign.
Teachers + students have committed to an authentic call to action + are showcasing their heartful learning.
“Seeing my work makes me feel like I belong.”

Provocation + year long reflection: What can you share about the value of the circle?
Student voice:
“Just like dandelion fluff, it’s a place to belong + connect to before you go into the world and start your own journey.” 🥹

“Look, I’m wearing natures makeup! #cbeliteracy #getoutside
Making room for student voice.
Each classroom will be leaving an artifact to showcase their Call to Action.
How do we select artifacts that aren’t ending the conversation + learning, but rather a place to start the learning journey again?
#cbeliteracy @Indigenous_cbe
Kindie friends spent time looking carefully and experiencing what happens when we centre our heart in the learning journey 💛
“Ms. Hinder, I wrote a love letter to Mother Nature because she makes me happy.”

Sounds scapes connected to emotions.
Students spent time in nature listening to the intersections of sounds all around us. These sounds + sense of place created emotions that we brought to life with contour lines.
