Beauty day to be out tissue testing some nice looking wheat fields. Overall seeing some excellent tissue tests this season to date. As expected though not all are excellent and still finding some fields with deficiencies that could be addressed with flag leaf approaching quickly.

Big questions I am getting lately! How much water do my crops need? At this stage not as much as you think. Roots are developing fast and growing down into moisture. It is the flowering and grain fill periods that are most susceptible. #ontag #Agronomy #KnowingCropPhysHelpsUs

Nothing new here. The effect of 100 kg/ha MAP in-furrow at winter wheat planting, at the long-term P+K expt @RidgetownCampus. STP is 10 ppm Olsen. No visual diffs in plots built to 25 ppm.

Checking for Mn deficiency in corn. Field is quite dry with some muck soil mixed through the clay. Obvious yellow stripping on leaf. Tissue test to confirm then an application of MnBooster with the herbicide application. axter.ca/product/mnbooster/
Just left the forage focus meeting. This must not be high quality forage... #Vomi18
