📣📣Huge shout out to the 19 bus drivers, 76 chaperones, 738 students, and 99 staff members that made Friday’s field trip to the 2026 KY State Fair possible. It’s a giant task for the school community and worth it. Each Explore Pathway was well represented, along with the Arts.

Open garden days are HERE ☀️🌿 Any student who has ever or will ever call HMS home is welcome. POTATOES 🥔 Lots of potatoes. What you do with them is up to you and your personal choices with butter. 🧈 Come on up and see what’s growing! (Peppers should be popping in a week!)
Football conditioning is canceled today, Monday, June 22. Will resume tomorrow, 6/23.
Cheer is canceled - Tuesday, 6/23.
Huge shout out to all those that came out to support Highland Middle campus clean-up. Northeast Christian Church volunteers, thank you for your service!

🐣🤝 COOP-LABORATION | Things got a little egg-citing this week when students from Seneca High School teamed up with guests from Highland Middle School for "The Chickening!"
Environmental Science and Animal/Plant Science pathway students took the lead, transforming the classroom and courtyard into a hands-on lab. From the science of tagging chicks to the art of acclimating new birds into a flock, students are gaining the real-world skills they need for the future of agriculture.
8th graders will be promoted, but their roots run deep at HMS. Last year they saved zinnia seeds and this spring, planted them again. By promotion day, those flowers will be in full bloom. That’s the magic of this program: the work doesn’t end when you leave. It grows. 🌱
At Highland Middle School, wonder is an essential part of the process. #Middle schoolAgriculture #FFA #HighlandProud #ChickensInTheClassroom #Chickens #AgricultureEducation #agEd
