#NASAWebb has pinpointed the host galaxy of the most distant fast radio burst ever seen. The galaxy proved surprisingly small and young, which provides a clue to the source of the burst: news.stsci.edu/4hEmZip 🔭

1000+ Leo satellites complete, with hundreds on standby for launch. From two prototypes to a full-rate production line, every Leo satellite is designed, built, and tested at our factory in Kirkland, WA. Getting here meant standing up a satellite factory from scratch, compressing test cycles that traditionally take months into days, and learning from every piece of hardware we broke along the way. Here's an inside look: aboutamazon.com/stories/how-…

Our microgravity indicator consists of four satellites orbiting a crocheted Earth, all hand-made elements by Jack’s daughter and my childhood best friend. Each crew member selected a personal symbol or “satellite.” A tether links each satellite to the Earth, representing our connection to our families, friends, and our one shared home. We’ll see this indicator drop as we re-enter Earth’s gravity tomorrow.   I chose a panda holding a mushroom, two adorable symbols of environmental importance and cultural fascination. Pandas are modern icons of species preservation and international diplomacy, and a pivotal character in my childhood. Mushrooms, or fungi, are the great decomposers, with all life on earth depending on them to keep our soils healthy and food webs functioning.   Jack chose a moon that his daughter hand-crocheted. Each color woven into the design represents a member of their family or a cherished shared activity. By bringing this piece with him, he keeps their bond close, allowing Jack to re-live happy memories while looking forward to the ones they’ll create when he returns.   Sophie chose a banana. Bananas are the world’s most common fruit, ordinary fruit shared by billions of people across every continent. Yet on orbit fresh fruit is rare. She wanted with us a playful reminder of kitchens and home—a familiar piece of Earth drifting weightless with us.   Andrey chose this thing, because it reminds me of an old space soviet movie. He would invite everyone to try to guess what this is. And we present to you, Planet Gaia and her moons, floating here in Crew-12’s Dragon!

Another convoy is on the move. BlueBirds 14, 15, and 16 have left our Texas facility and are on the road to Cape Canaveral. Next stop: orbit. 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 The largest commercial communications arrays ever deployed in low Earth orbit. A scalable platform to deliver space-based cellular broadband connectivity directly to standard phones, support secure government applications, and deliver a new third layer of connectivity. In Midland, Texas, production continues to advance through BlueBird 50, with more than 20 spacecraft structures now being integrated as part of our assembly process. One constellation. Connectivity. Resilience. Security. Built in Texas. 🇺🇸🌎📶📱 #ASTSpaceMobile #Broadband #ConnectingtheUnconnected #BlueBirds

The first day of #IMTS2026 was PACKED with amazing content and both on and off the stages! Yesterday afternoon, the stage was out of this world with Sharon Cobb, Associate Program Manager at @NASA; Wendy Lawrence, retired Astronaut; Michelle Lucas, Founder & CEO at Higher Orbits; and Nathan Zeien, Director of Aerospace Services at Scot Forge. Making Chips' Mike Payne and Paul Van Metre sat down with Ty Willis, Equipment Financing Expert and Erik Skie, Managing Principal at CLA to give the ins and outs of equipment financing and what is worth your time and money. There was also plenty to see in all four halls as well as the next generation of manufacturing flooding the Smartforce Student Summit! We can't wait to see what day 2 brings!
