Check out this new paper about how fish miss during predatory attacks! @EeobUcr @J_Exp_Biol #fish @UCRCNAS @UCR_ScienceNews
My first publication! doi.org/10.1242/jeb.247814 How do fish miss their strikes? With an unparalleled sample size, we found that misses were primarily due to the distance from which a fish initiates its strike, making timing (not biomechanics) the main factor of failure. @J_Exp_Biol

New study proposes an updated reconstruction of #Megalodon as even longer (but slimmer) than previously thought. This longer body may have also enabled a more efficient digestive system to power this massive icon of #paleontology. Full #OpenAccess Paper: doi.org/10.26879/1345
