Ron Chapman WAS radio in Dallas when I was growing up. He ran the city and I'm not exaggerating. One of the reasons I wanted to get into radio and media. RIP legend. #KVIL
I once wrote Ron Chapman meant more to Dallas radio than electricity. @theoldgreywolf once told me, "Chapman was the pioneer, the seer."
"I was always on the quest of doing something new and dramatic and different and surprising," Ron said in 2010.
He died early today at 85.
