Yorkshire's High Hazels played a poignant final headline show at Sheffield's Leadmill last week, with support from Daniel Whitehouse and Beachcomber.

@HighHazels went out in style last night. Feel very sad that’s the last time but I’ll be listening to their wonderful music for years to come. Gutted a band like this didn’t make it big.
Endless gratitude to everyone who came to our final show last night - We'll never forget it

Si-thi, @HighHazels... “Sad and brilliant” is what the #Sheffield band predicted last night’s hometown farewell gig at the #Leadmill would be - and sad and brilliant it was... So pleased to have worked with ‘em on gigs, podcasts and a video session over the years. Brilliant band.
Much appreciated Martin. See you again soon.
@HighHazels gentlemen....wow, what a way to bow out. A set chock full of class tunes played with intensity, ferocity and no shortage of emotion. James, you did well to keep it together. Thank you one and all.

We came across the @highhazels quite by chance a few years ago when they were supporting slow club and have never been so grabbed by a band. Ever since we’ve taken every opportunity to see them. 1/2
