Similar stuff happened to my neighbor in school..He fell asleep with cooking gas on..Food(beans) got burnt and smoke everywhere.I had to go bang on his door several times before he finally woke up.. You won’t believe what unfolded next..This guy washed the beans to remove the
I remember an incident that nearly left me dead. Gas had finished. I switched to the electric cooker, poured something into the frying pan, and left it there. My children were already deep asleep in the next room. NEPA took light. I fell asleep on the sofa, completely exhausted. Deep into the night, light came back. The cooker came back on. Whatever was in that pan cooked… and cooked… and kept cooking until there was nothing left but ash and thick, choking smoke. I was still knocked out. In my sleep I started feeling strange discomfort. I fought to wake up. When my eyes finally opened, the entire sitting room was filled with smoke. I couldn’t think. I was disoriented for several long seconds, heart pounding, lungs burning. Then it hit me. Everything in the pan had turned to pure ash. I staggered to the cooker, switched it off with shaky hands, and forced the door open for air. Only then did I run into the children’s room. They were still sleeping peacefully. No coughing. No panic. Just soft, steady breathing. That was the moment it sank in. I had escaped death by whiskers. One more hour… and the story would have been completely different. Never take life, or electricity, for granted.

This is Inspector Dan Matakaya, a 31 year old police officer. Mr Dan was not born with this frightening appearance. What you see is the result of a normal argument he had with his wife. One day, Dan and his wife had an argument about a house issue. He says it seemed a normal argument like any married couple and later left for work. He had a night shift so he came back home in the morning around 05:30 hours and went straight to the bed to have some sleep. This is the moment his wife chose to come and pour acid solution on his face. Then she ran away. But it was not enough for her to spoil his face, she also acted horribly so that he couldn't escape the bedroom. She had poured water on the floor and connected it to electricity then locked the door. As soon as Dan stepped on the floor, he was electrocuted and fainted. Neighbour who had heard him shouting for help forced themselves in his house and opened the door to his room, switched off electricity and rushed him to the hospital. He had screamed so loud for help before his neighbors came and found him in his despair. They rushed him to hospital and luckily his life was saved, but unfortunately not his eyes. Inspector Dan permanently lost his sight and now completely blind. His wife was arrested, then released later on bail. He says he forgave her but he is not going to abandon the charges against her. He only met her at the court and all she said was that she doesn't know why she did what she did. This is how a random conversation with a simple disagreement can lead to tragedy. Women are not good people.

My chronic insomnia will never make me be in this situation. Lol I'm jealous of whoever can sleep well and deeply.
