Congrats to @nvidia for creating the best open-weight model on document parsing so far. Nemotron 3.5 Parse takes the #1 spot on ParseBench, our comprehensive real-world benchmark for document understanding. The full list consists of 150+ frontier models, open-weight models, and specialized solutions. It does this while remaining sub-1B parameters so it's also blazing fast ⚡️ Big thanks to @JensenHuang for the shoutout at GTC Berlin! I'd never heard of the Chinese car brand that just drove us back to the hotel in Shenzhen, but the interior was as nice or nicer than a top-spec Mercedes S class and the 20-minute drive was $6. Germany should be very worried indeed.

As I predicted, this month will be dominated by open‑source models that beat benchmarks and match providers in coding, motion design, and other qualities. In between, Fable 5.5 will be released, taking the prime time away before the US labs take over again in December. BTW, gpt updates and argon 4.1 might arrive earlier than people expect.

Looks like the frontier labs’ model release cycle has officially wrapped up for now. Maybe Fable 5.5 is the last one left. The next month or two will likely be all about open models, before the cycle starts all over again.

Dear President Musk, please let Chinese BYD enter the American market.. why should Tesla have a monopoly ? your monopoly is justified in the name of national security.. others are condemned as oligarchy.. what a convenient distinction! .. an oligarch whore is crying 😂

Microsoft finally fixed the hardware problem. Now let's fix Windows.
Today marks a new chapter for Windows, as we bring unmetered intelligence to every desk and every home, and make every PC a place where agents can work securely on your behalf. Some highlights of what we announced: • MAI-Code-1.1 Flash: 137B parameter coding model w/ 256K context window, which is now optimized to run on your PC! • GitHub Copilot now hands off work to local models like MAI-Code-1.1 Flash, helping projects cost a lot less without sacrificing quality. • With Hybrid Intelligence, Copilot can now take action directly on the PC and keep sensitive work on your device. • And with Code in Copilot, you can essentially build any software you need on your desktop, without any cloud token spend, and it’s just super at it. You’re no longer limited to what’s in an app store! Your PC becomes an infinite software factory. • Security is foundational to all this, which is why we are also bringing together Windows and Agent 365 so agents can work within secure boundaries on-device, including MXC a local sandbox for agent execution. Windows becomes your secure agent box! • All this comes to life on a new generation of devices, like Surface Laptop Ultra, powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark. Can’t wait to see what you build with all this.

Agree on this. @MKBHD take was so off on this.
Just got home, so here's my take. Xiaomi didn't copy Apple with the 18 Fold. - The wide "passport" foldable isn't Apple's idea. Oppo did it with the Find N in 2021. Google did it with the Pixel Fold in 2023. Apple picked a shape the industry had already tested. - Xiaomi launched Sept 7. Apple announced the Duo Sept 9 and it doesn't ship until Oct 23. You don't engineer a hinge, a custom folding panel and a production line off leaked renders in a few months. - What's inside is all Xiaomi. Its own Xring 03 chip, and triple-window multitasking with floating apps, while the Duo caps you at two apps side by side. A clone doesn't ship with its own silicon and a different idea of how a foldable should work. Samsung has been making foldables since 2019. Apple is 7 years late to this category.

No one was expecting update from google at this point lol.
Introducing Gemini 4 Argon – our new frontier model. It’s built for complex workflows across coding, enterprise knowledge work, and cybersecurity defense – rolling out today to a set of trusted testers through our Fairwind Program.

Why do you have to do rebranding. Just call it v2.0 and evolve to the next version like claude/codex has over time.
We’re building Copilot as a new OS for work that spans every model, every form factor, and every task. Today, we’re announcing our biggest update to Copilot to date, bringing four things together: · Autopilot: proactive and long-running agent built for the enterprise · Code: build apps with Copilot, hosted inside your company’s tenant · Home: Chat + Cowork together · Office: now fully embedded in Copilot (and Copilot embedded in Office, of course!) Plus, you can invoke Copilot in Teams, and we’re introducing Today, a proactive experience that surfaces the most important information from across M365 without needing to ask for it. The way we work is changing and so are our workflows. This update brings AI into that flow, from answering a question, to building an app, to getting work done on your behalf.
