This is what is going on NB 405 to EB 90. A one semi non-injury collision blocking the ramp. The semi was carrying garbage. Unknown ETA for clearing at this time.

One SUV - a gray Subaru Forester - is taped off in the Home Depot lot. Not sure right now how or if it is related.

Comic con has downtown Seattle bustling! In fact, organizers estimate it's going to bring in about $24.6M into the local economy over just the next three days. I'll be searching for my favorite cosplay. Tune in @KIRONewsradio

Wondering if @secstatewa is here at Comic Con, and if so, is he in cosplay?
Sam Campbell@HeySamCampbell30 Aug 2024
Did you all know @secstatewa Steve Hobbs is a Dungeons and Dragons/Baldur’s Gate fan? He plays an evocation wizard. Just interviewed Hobbs at this booth where his office is trying to get video game players and other young people registered to vote. I’ll have more @KIRONewsradio

We’ve just learned from SPD someone parked their car on a slight hill, got out, it rolled backward about 75 yards, and hit a 12 year old girl on recess. The driver is being evaluated for potential impairment, which police say is standard practice. Tragic.

Police just hauled away the SUV. A silver GMC with a dent in the back, rear window smashed.

This is one of the things that stands out when you report on incidents like this: Over and over, I saw students- kids - scrambling to find their friends after the last bell, embracing with tears rolling down, telling their group, through a cracking voice, to walk with them home.

We just saw a woman collapse, crying. Police helped her up and walked her past the tape, into the school. Another man got here, asking someone waiting outside, “where is he?” Still waiting on details from SPD.
