If $9,000 is the thing that is going to let moms stay home and for families to have more children, then make it a $9,000 tax credit.
If you want them to have $9,000, then government shouldn’t take the $9000 from them to start with. Giving back the money they took like it’s a favor when they could just let them keep it. Even worse, government shouldn’t have to take $15,000 from someone else while keeping $6,000 for itself snd then “give” the $9,000 it stole from someone else.
Reduce taxes. Don’t increase spending.

The Trump Administration is drafting a new initiative led by JD Vance that would allow married couples with a stay-at-home spouse to receive federal child care subsidies.
The typical benefit would be $9,000 per child per year.
Policies like this are exactly what America needs to incentivize more traditional families.
This is what our tax dollars should be going to instead of Somali fraudsters and illegal aliens.

I have spent 23 years documenting the global LED transition of city lighting from space.
Across my 4 missions to the ISS, I have photographed every major city on Earth, building a data set of the gradual replacement of sodium vapor lighting with LEDs.
The warmer, yellow-orange of gas discharge lamps has been phased out worldwide to multi-colored LEDs, citing energy savings and environmental reasons.
Widespread adoption has markedly changed the way our cities look from orbit, and as many have pointed out, how they feel to those on the ground!

The bill was $3,260.
I pay them $428 every month.
Apparently I’m paying $5,136 a year so someone I’ve never met can overrule the doctor standing in front of me.
Very reassuring system.
