This happened five minutes from my house. In 2018. And it’s not just Jews. Hate crimes in America rose almost 20% from 2016-2017 (‘though anti-Semitic crimes rose almost 40% in that period!). It’s almost as if someone in power told bigots they should be proud of their hate.

When people think of racism like this, they think about some far-off time in some far-off land. But this is today, in South Los Angeles, on Crenshaw. These are swastikas on Black faces. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.
